If a school only has sports for DSA, does it mean that it will not look at other areas already? Like no point trying if its performing arts?

yes..

school will mention which activities they open for DSA.

If you want to try performing arts, head toward the school that offer DSA for performing art.

hmm…

when school want to inform everyone, they post on school facebook, school twitter, school web

to parent, they SMS us or email us or letter/memo

so far, i never heard from my child, the teacher use facebook, blog or whatsapp to inform the class.

I know the class create a group in the whatsapp and talk nonsense. My child normally don’t bother to read. He said … 100 whatsapp message… how to read… siao… sometime 300 message over the night. he even ask me how to turn off the notification b’coz very distracting when he doing homework.

I told my child to write down all homework , etc on his hand book which I check daily.

As for handphone, he using $0 phone smartphone. He want a better one like iPhone. I told him… this $0 smartphone OR daddy army phone. No 3rd choice.

No data plan. I get him a Hi-card. top up $10 average every 2-3 mths.
But he did had wi-fi access at home and school.
That’s why I use the app to block his youtube and games access during school time which he is jumping up and down, want me to remove it.

I told him … u wait … long long

Hi therat, thank u very much for sharing the 'screen time' app, it's a very neat app! I installed it on my dd's phone and she cried... It's the ultimate parental control tool! However she found a way to override the daily limit by using whatsapp without unlocking her phone and entering whatsapp... I just wrote to support and hopefully they can help..

I hope this is available on iPhone too as this is now only for kids on androids..

Anybody knows any good screen time parental control app for iPhones? Please share... Tk u...
There is a \"bed time\" setting and school time setting.

Play with it.
Daily limit and set which app to limit. If that app not click, the use time will not consider as daily limit.

Once a while, I will check the past few day log, to check which app my child use the most. Should I include into daily limit or not, etc

I notice, when new app was install, it will automatic under daily limit.

bb_ mom:
Hi therat. What app is that? Sounds very useful for my kids. More for my younger DS than my DD.

I install \"screen time\" app on my child handphone

Then install \"screen time remote control\" on my spouse handphone.

Both app need gmail email address.
As my child handphone is using my gmail address , I can't remote control his handphone.
So I install on my spouse phone using my spouse gmail.

\"screen time\" - this is free appl
\"screen time remote control\" , only free for a week or so, after that need to buy the app.

Youtube and games are allow to use for 3 hrs max / daily. Once reach app will stop him for using.

As for message, he don’t bother…
but sometime, next morning, when he wake up, saw his whatsapp or LINE >100 message. He was like
It is quite hard to tell from the video alone what \"breed\" the boy belongs to. Both options are possibilities. The school would have to ascertain that and take the necessary actions to correct his behaviour.

What is however crystal clear is that his actions were deemed obnoxiously rude to a patient teacher and everyone in the class should know that is not right and not follow his poor example. Some smiles on the students when he was rude was quite disturbing to watch.... some found it funny?

Obviously not the intelligent breed la.

The school is not an anger management school. It's a prep school for ite so I don't see how the school can correct his behaviour. Oh wait, they can recommend to the parents to change his brain.

I think generally, parents on this forum do not have a lot of contact with children who go to such schools. These children are usually from the foundation classes or who repeated psle. To them, incidents like this are not rare. I am quite sure they would have classmates who defied teachers in primary schools too. To them, it's likely to be a free show and a break from the 'boring' lessons. It amuses them rather than a teaching moment.

Perhaps this can indeed be a teaching moment - that when you behave like this, the world outside school actually thinks it's unacceptable or 'wrong' and the people on the internet don't like what you do. Hey, this is a good resource for teachers!

Not intelligent is not an excuse to be rude.
to rains,

and go to ITE , does not mean they can to be rude.
