• RE: All About PSLE AL Scoring System

Thank you Zac's mum. Looking forward to seeing our boys in ACSBR next year. #TGBTG #TBIYTB :rahrah:

As we know, this year’s batch did much better than expected (and better than last year’s seniors). But…those expecting at borderline for ACSI IB 7, cleared it. Those expecting at borderline for ACSI OP 13, also got 9-11, cleared it. That means they are freeing up the original places at ACSB for us. I honestly doubt there will be much squeezing, unless there was a rash of 20-22 (not in my son’s class). Do not worry so much about the AMR 22 changing. It will not affect AL19 for sure. I am a bit worried about son’s friend AL21, but with FSBB, can make a smart choice on NA stream.
Hi Zac's Mum,

Saw the photo you attached from the ACS Br principal's talk. I attended the talk and I remember taking photos on the slides too but I can't seem to find them now in my photo roll now. :boogie:

      Many thanks for sharing them.

My boy gets AL19 Express but we are now getting worried that the AMR may fall a lot (after 'hearing' many saying their kids fared better than expectations) and he gets squeezed out....

As you mentioned if he scores AL20, based on past historical numbers for ACS Br, will be assigned to Express by default & guaranteed seat. Do you foresee the AMR falling by a few points this year? :xedfingers:

      zac's mum\" post_id=\"2083108\" time=\"1663825179\" user_id=\"53606:
I hope this infographic is self-explanatory (only those scoring in the “option band” of AL21-22 get to choose between NA or Express):

It was mentioned in ACS Br principal’s talk for affiliates, that those scoring in the AL21-22 range are advised to pick NA stream for a guaranteed seat, versus Express stream at which he may be at risk of being balloted out:

If he scores AL20, based on past historical numbers for ACS Br, will be assigned to Express by default & guaranteed seat.

      The AL21-22 have more headache.

**Please double-check with your affiliated secondary if it’s a different school.

All the best for PSLE. Hope our kids clear the bar safely.
• RE: 2022 PSLE Discussions & Strategies (born in 2010)

According to my DS (subject to confirmation)

Picture 1: An angry girl sulking with a drink beside her?
Picture 2: A calendar with a particular date crossed out?
      Picture 3: A long queue?

Anyone knows what are the guiding questions?

The main theme is on 环保. Video content is 护洋行动 marine conservation. But that's for the 口头报告 part. Conversation part is more to do with participating/conducting 环保活动 and strengthening 环保意识.

      @winniel

Many thanks for the info. Indeed you and your dd are lucky. Really glad for her! 😄

Blessed X’mas and cheers to a wonderful 2019 ahead for you and family.

it appeared we were very lucky... appeals can be submitted up to 24 Dec. But the timing of our appeal submission, to having someone withdrew out from their school, and our being informed of it, made it really smooth & fast.

Of coz when I submitted the appeal, we have all documents ready & photocopied, including CCA records & other relevant certs she has.
