    • RE: 2014 Request for Advice on Selecting Secondary Schools

      Hi

      My ds scored 245 (+2).
Is RV or ACSI ‘O’ a far stretch as 1st choice?
Will that jeopardize Nan Hua as his 2nd choice?
Is there really a Band grade for Nanhua and BPGH?
      Thanks for advise!

      2. The figure below shows 3 different triangles, A, B and C. 3/10 of A and 40% of C is shaded. The shaded area of A is the same as the shaded area of C. What fraction of the figure is unshaded if 80% of B is shaded? (Leave your answer in its simplest form.)

A box contains some 20 cents and 50 cents coins. The ratio of the number of 20 cents and the number of 50 cents coins is 5:6. After 80 20 cents coins are removed and 15 50 cents coins are added, the ratio becomes 2:3. Find the sum of money in the box at first.

Thanks for solving my previous questions…

There were 87 children at a party. After 1/3 of the boys and 2/7 of the girls left the party, there were an equal number of boys and girls at the party. How many children remained at the party?

A group of girls was seated in a circle. A box of 115 sweets was passed around in a clockwise direction, starting from Mary. Each girl took a sweet each time the box was passed to her. If Mary took the last sweet in the box, she would have taken a total of 7 sweets. How many girls were there in the group?
