      HairyOrange:
RI - Mainstreamers really tough path. Round 1 shortlist based on results and achievement portfolio (fairly straight forward). Getting thru Rd 1 was a challenging RI-own GAT test (much tougher than the std GAT by Principals Academy).

Accordingly to DD2's former P6 classmate who tried DSA 2 years ago, the GAT conducted by RI and Principals Academy was the same. Difference was the amount of time given for the 60 questions in the GAT. For RI, it was 20 minutes and the other IP schools was 60 minutes.

No. NY didn't reveal the % scoring 240 and above. Do you have the stats? But in any case, I am more concerned about 250 and above which suits me fine.

Based on your figures above, the number of IP places does correlate to the number of students in the top 10%. The govt did say that IP is intended for those who score a minimum of 250. So the numbers are about there. Not forgetting that this year's dragon cohort is larger than other years and we have not added in IP spots in SOTA yet.

Size of P6 cohort in various years
      48333 - 2012 (This year's dragon cohort)
