hihi, just went for the trial? the trial was some weeks ago.. was there another trial for specific sports? how does that work? when will they usually reply on rejection or acceptance?

it looked like more than 2000 kids in that area! 😄 i wonder how they manage to test so many kids... mine was talking about some shuttle run, standing height, standing on some beam and pushing some legs forward..

Hi deardear07..

Your kid still can tell you what kind of activity he/she do..My kiddo just said \"I forget!\" :scratchhead: :scratchhead:
How is this possible?

Anyway..It's just an experience.

😄 i probed and he shared. for boys, it's more competitive. it's interesting to find out what they r being tested on. like which stations have relation to which sports.
Oh..my elder kid peeked and saw kids doing jumping jacks, shuttle run (pt to pt)..he also overheard..only 400 are selected out of 3000 students..but the crowd don't look like 3000 students..more like 7000 students.. 😄
Can share which sports did your dd choose to try out in the end?

We decided not to pursue JSA for DD whose plate already full with her current sport training 5x/week.
During trial, no specific sport tested. If your child is selected, he/she has to change to try different sport every few months. It give me impression that JSA will train only beginner or at most intermediate level.

My dd jus went for the trial and she mentioned tt she will likely not make it. As she feels her performance is only average compared to some of the other students. Also the turnout was big. Roughly 2000 over students 😓
hihi, just went for the trial? the trial was some weeks ago.. was there another trial for specific sports? how does that work? when will they usually reply on rejection or acceptance?

• RE: GEP 2018 - Screening and Selection Test

Hi

If you read similar thread of past years, there is no resources or references to prepare the child for it.
Just let the child take the test as there is no pass or fail tied to it.

Nan Hua - 2
Nanyang - 2
RGPS - 2

St Hilda’s - 1
TNS - 2

From the talk, if i didn't hear wrongly, i was told that NYP has 2 gep classes for 2018. It was such a surprise. Is it a reflection of falling birth rate? Raised cut off percentage?

I remember they had as many as 4 classes not that long ago.
So now all the centres have 2 each?

HPPS has 1 class.

I'm not sure if this has been posted before.

Does anyone know where did the majority of the graduates of SST go to? Poly or JC?

I wonder if kids can adjust to JC's style which is mostly theoretical after graduation from SST.

Thank you in advance.

I'm sorry. i'm not too familiar with using this.
I recalled someone post similar question before and think you have looked back previous messages.
