Hi AffectParent, don’t be disheartened…i share your anxiety sincerely as my boy be having his streaming this yr too…share ur worries with ur boy. Encourage him to work n strive for his best…sit down with him n work a target n goals with him…even if there’s only 1 pure science class, work towards being part of it. He still has 2 terms to "fight" b4 the final curtain. Irregardless of which school, is the attitude one has and support that we provide be a push factor for our dear child. There’s always a place for everyone…the only difference is u may take a longer route…

I believe a child should learn things in school and after school, back home, they should revise their work, and not do MORE work after school. That's just my opinion anyway.

I agree!! I, too believe that most importantly, they should at best pay attention during lesson and revise their work at home. Frankly, i personally feel that they really do not have much \"extra\" time for MORE work at home.

erm....my DS is pretty bz with his D&T stuff (just finish a project on Gears) and he do have homework on daily basis, manageable though. Only Wed he felt a bit taxing cos' of the CCA that ends at 6pm. Just had his Maths test this week. Abt the Geo test, his teacher just return the papers to them....I'm glad that he did fairly well.

I guess, S1 still can consider \"honeymoon\" as what their teacher suggest. Take it easy.....let's just enjoy the honey and the moon now before the bees come charging!!

DS said only MITS and Archery released their list yesterday, posted outside the staff room. DS in MITS started CCA today alr. Do you know how many kids accepted into archery? DS said only 12 out of 30 got into MITS. I'm surprised they take in only so few. I hope the rest are not thrown into uniform groups, which DS said are way short of applicants.

Oh really....DS told me only 15 out of 26 will be selected....not sure if the figures are correct. yah, i was told that uniform group are very short of applicants too....and i was worried if my DS not selected into archery will be \"forced\" into NCC!!!! Argh..... thank god!!

Check the e-portal and there are no annoucements ... no circulars or memos from the school either ...

Hi, i think they should be informed by this week if not latest by Tue next week, depending on which CCA your DS choice is. Cos CCA will kick start next week. My DS got his selection results into Archery today and training will start next Wed. Good luck!!

I learned during the CCA Maze that we've to pay for bowling. Each CCA session is $15. Honestly, I'm very surprised. Is this how other schools work too? ACSP fully pays for all CCA activities, even overseas tournaments. But of course, ACSP is known for being a wealthy school..

I agree!! I was very surprised too!! Apart from having to buy personal bowling ball, shoe and yet have to pay for each session. And its twice a week....indeed a costly CCA hoh!!!

Birthdate could be in different format. Did they tell you if it's DDMMYYYY, YYYYMMDD, DDMMYY, or ?

Any idea when will the kids know abt their CCA choices? Oh, and school can end pretty late eh? Yesterday's schedule was suppose to end at 2.25pm, but ds came back around 4 plus, saying that he left school at 3pm.

Without mobile phone, it's difficult to communicate - and he didn't think to call me using payphone, and I was worried what took him so long.

My DS told me that they be conducting CCA selection today and tomorrow, which ends at 5pm for both days.

Oh dear, i can share your worries...my DS did bring his mobile along to school, but i told him only to use it outside school and to keep it switch off and silence at all time while in school compound. Most of his classmate does that too.
