      Gentle reminder, tomorrow 26 Dec is the deadline for appeal submission in most schools. After which, selection and interview will commence.

      I went to those schools with cut-off points that went as high as 5 points to appeal. I know that the chance is slim with MOE not allowing schools to accept students that do not meet the cut-off for the year but I am really hoping that this year will be an exception because of the major jump in cut-off point.

      I hope that students and parents who are affected will be given their second chance, no one expected such thing to happen and indeed has been an eye-opener for many.

      Let us pray and not give up hope! I believe in silver lining and if lemons are thrown to our children, I am sure they will not only make lemonade out of those lemons but lemon meringue pie and lemon ice lollies too :grphug:

      ??? appealing to schools with cut-off points above T-score??? hmmm well wishes for your determination and for trying.. although i do empathise the public officers managing these..

      On the contrary, I do hope that there will be NO exceptions to the stated by-merit processes.. if otherwise, the integrity of our education's public service and selection process will be in doubt.. and of course the resultant inequity to EVERY other kid and/or parent..

      Let us pray and not give up hope! I believe in meritocracy and integrity, and if given lemons, then one should be glad to have lemons instead of nothing now, but one can always strive onwards and put in more effort in future endeavours; second chances are earned and not given.

    • RE: 2018 PSLE Discussions & Strategies (Born in 2006)

      Anyone knows how the posting system goes in my situation?! Kiddo got 257+2 and his preferred school choices are:

      1) SAP SchA -> 1 point (include+2) above COP [259]

      2) SAP SchB -> 4 points (include+2) above COP [259]

      3) Non-SAP SchC -> 1 point above COP [257]

      4) Non-SAP SchD -> 1 point above COP [257]

      5) SAP SchE -> 6 points (include+2) above COP [259]

      6) SAP SchF -> 9 points (include+2) above COP [259]

      Scenario: Schs A B C D he didnt meet COP, and at this point he would be 'considered' together with other students at 257 right? Then at his 5th choice, he would be 'considered' back at 259.. and wouldnt the 'system' have already cleared those at 258 and 259? :?
