      Hi all DHS parents,

My daughter who is in year 2 this year needs help badly in Maths. Appreciate if any of the DHS parents here can recommend any good maths tuition centre/tutor.

      Thanks
      Hi Danny,

I know my dd's classmates attend maths tuition in Aspen (marine parade branch) specially catered for dhs students. Maybe you can do a google search and call them up for further enquiries.

I also wish that more DHS parents do come forward to share abt their kids' stuff / happenings in DHS....
But seems that there are very few DHS active parents around.... 😉
i asked abt the feedback from Yr4 parents regarding the recent LA paper... there's no response...

i rmb one of the parents here ever asked me this question..\"why am i the only one here holding the fort\".... LoL...
There are times i am rather discourage to talk too....seems like having monologue....
      Hi Augmum,
Don't be discouraged....I am one parent here who is very grateful to you for your selfless contributions in this thread. My dd is in Yr 1 this year and I have a lot to learn from you. Thanks!

      NYGH - total 420, dsa 210, S1 210

If I remember correctly, the total IP places should be 4000 as per what was published in the Straits Times recently.

Hi, need help on this qn.

Lina bought some chocolate and vanilla muffins in the ratio 2:3. She packed the chocolate muffins into boxes of 3 and the vanilla muffins into boxes of 4. There were 6 more boxes of vanilla muffins than chocolate muffins. How many chocolate muffins did Lina buy?

      Thanks!

      Hi

      2:3 ------- 24:36

This is equivalent to 8 boxes of chocolate muffins and 9 boxes of vanilla muffins.

We are looking for 6 more boxes of vanilla muffins.

Hence multiply by 6 to get 48 of chocolate muffins and 54 boxes of vanilla muffins.

      Number of chocolate muffins ---------- 48*3 ------ 144

      Best wishes

      Hi tianzhu,
      Thank you very much !!!

LC qns2. Why did yall choose option 3? I think the answer should be 1 as option 3 is 告诉父母孩子参加活动will be happy(something like that). If its just to 告诉, shouldn't it be a workshop and not a real event?

Don't worry. My dd chose 3 at first and then she changed to 1. Half a class chose 1 and the other half a class chose 3.

I just want to confirm the answer for question 2 of the Chinese LC. Is it 1 or 3? Also, is the 1st text the same for both Tamil and Chinese?

DS said half the class chose ans 1 and the other half chose ans 3. From what he described to me, I'm leaning more towards 3 as the ans.

May i know what was qn 2 about ?
