balloting only for 1-2km, over 2km will not entitled.. Correct me if I am wrong. Thks!

      Hi Rachel,

Base on tktotts posting of 15 SC within 1 to 2 km going for the balance 9 slots, you are correct to say over 2 km will not be entitled.

      Silversword:
As I was told by a school staff when I was registering my kid, the school is going to increase in place from 300 to 330.

Can anyone confirm with the school again?

      Hi Silversword,

To be honest I don't think the school can last minute increase their intake as it needs MOE approval. Well left with tomorrow, than we will know on Thursday if there will be balloting for within 1km.

      tktotts:
Total for today is 194 out of 216. Tate's is day 1.

My guess is most parent will register during day one even it is NOT first come first serve basis.. I also registered my DD today 😄 😄 . Quite surprise to see so many applicants.. My initial guess was the application to the school would be good as It was mentioned a few time in the News Paper, but i never expect so much application. Now just need to keep my figure cross, hopefully no need to go into balloting for < 1km.
All my children are in neighborhood schools, but they are top students. So being in a “branded” school doesn’t matter.

If kids are in non branded school, teachers there could be doing more as compared to those in branded ones. Principal could also be more hands-on and get HODs to compile notes for students, prepare them for PSLE earlier too.

yes, that’s why more top students from neighborhood school too
Well say.. This is one of the reason I'm not going for the 2A2 phrase of the registration next week at RGPSand wait for the 2C phrase at Horizon Pri. Of cause distance is any major factor in my consideration.
