\"Suppose I have 3 point, my friend also 3 point. But the sequence & order of JCs selected / chosen by my friend and I are different. Then, who will get into RI, admitted first ?\"
reply was that -
inside the MOE computerized system, although both got 3 point, but internally, both are never the same, because all students are ranked by Moe. moe keep track of the ranking of JAE students.
He said that because all JAE students have already been ranked by computer internally, no 2 students will ever end up with the same ranking. One will be higher than the other student.
The lecturer at RI replied that the one with the higher 3 point will get in first, compared to the one with the lower 3 point, if still got vacancies.
He further added that if the higher 3 point student cannot get into RI, then Moe will clear him first, because his 3 point is higher than the other student, that is, look at what is his 2nd choice JC #2, clear him first, before come to look into the other student with the lower 3 point.

By right you can still get into HC if you meet their cut off point correct? I may be wrong though.xiaopeng:
Aw ;\"D Yes I will (my heart lies in RI but I'm not sure if I would get in for sure :-() I'm wondering if placing HC as my second choice would hamper my chances of getting into VJ? Or is it still alright?
But if both RI and HC both cannot get in, is there a chance of skipping VJ even though he/she can meet VJ cut off and ending up in 4th 5th or 6th choice? Anyone knows? :scratchhead:
Yes that is my concern! I heard that if you want to get into HC you have to place its institution as #1 or the chances are low. Then again, I heard that there are cases in which the student gets rejected in HC but accepted into RI and vice versa.
I'm just afraid that the scenario you just described would happen >__< -

So how should I place my second choice? HC or VJ?xiaopeng:

Put RI as your first choice. Be prepared to appeal if not alloted. JAE exercise is computerized. School only look at your appeal or application subsequently if not alloted and you still want it.
Thanks so much for your help! -

I've got 6 A1s with a nett of 3 (7-4). I'm thinking of placing RI, then HCI, then VJ. Personally, I really really love RI but I am afraid of taking the risk. I heard that it is easier to get into the latter compared to the former, but I also heard that if HCI isn't placed as your first choice the institution would not even look at your application at all. So what should I do? Is there anyone who managed to enter RI with nett 3?

RE: * Raffles Institution (RI) - Year 5-6
Hello! Iโm wondering what my chances are of getting into the institution with a nett of 3. Is there anyone out there who have managed to enter RI with the same nett score? Can you share if you had done it via JAE or appeal?
Thank you in advance
