    • RE: Hua Cheng Education Centre - Discussion

How come nobody answer the phone call in last few days, as I was trying to call Hua cheng bukit timah for the place reservation for DD for next term.

Does anybody know if they changed numbers or what? We just came back from holiday, want to continue the enrichment course, but have no idea if is there any vacancy left for P2 on weekend next year, heard it's quite hot right now. :scratchhead:

      Hi,

My DD is now with HuaCheng in P1, I ever talked to their counter staff at Bukit Timah branch, this branch is actually still under the same management as of other branches of Hua cheng and Learning Point but with more autonomous in teaching methods and materials. The principal is previous \"王牌老师\" from Thomson Branch, and with a group of full-time teachers. Their materials are actually customized and optimized for pupils with higher standard from schools around Bukit Timah area, like NYPS, PHPP, RGPS... According to DD's teacher, internelly, HuaChengBT branch is called the HuaChengBesT. Personally, I am impressed of their materials and ways of teaching although we have to spend sometime to assist DD on her spelling every week after class, it seems working fine so far.

      VooVoo:

Yes the bt branch operates differently. They bought the name from the hq and doesn't use their worksheets. They have their own worksheets.

Yes, I heard the BT branch is operated by 1 of their ex-teacher...i wonder if there's any difference in standard of their worksheets?

      Hi phtthp,

I don't have experience at Parkway branch. However, I just enrolled my P1 dd with them at bukit timah since Jan this year. I was really impressed by their holiday program and materials, and my daughter feels good so far. As she just joined, it really takes time to give precise judgment.
If you are interested in the materials you may want PM me, I can scan some for your reference.

Does anybody has the experience with Hua cheng at Thomson plaza? Is that as good as this one at BT plaza? I enrolled their P1 preparation holiday program, which is quite impressed with its materials and nice teacher, and my gal likes it, but it is a bit far to my house.

I won’t try Jiang, just simply becos the bigger class size and long hour’s class of 3 hours. Its’ really tough espcially for lower primary.

Hi ZJMummy, thank you so much for the info and advise....it's really hard to make a decision. Most important, I need a centre that will help my kid to build up their interest in Chinese. On top of you valuable info, i think i still need to make a trip down to understand the centre.

      Hi XEK3,

Do you have any update? I am looking forward for it ... Thanks!

      LisaAnne:
i have asked about k2 and P1 classes at the same time, and also look through the material of them. For K2 , They teach the P1 Text book vocab, and sentences, and also a short comprehension, and the lady tell me most of their K2 child can read chinese story book alone!

The lady also showed me around, the education centre have alot of activity and programmes to make the children enjoy in learning chinese. And i noticed my dd likes the story books which place on the rack!im happy to see she is trying to read chinese story book!I think here is a good starting point for her!
      Hi LisaAnne,

I am also worring about my girl, she is going to be P1 in the comming year. But she never took any cource for chinese yet, i am afraid she will not be able to deal with the chinese when she in P1.
As I also heard from my friend that hua cheng is good, can you share something more about huacheng of their k2/p1 classes? And have you signed up with them for your dd and how?
      Thanks in advance!! 😂
