Other than Fuhua, Westwood, Bukit Batok, what do you think abt Jurong or Hua Yi etc?
Jurong quite good, heard from my friend (sec 3) who's there. I like their uniforms also šŸ˜„ I'm not too sure about Hua Yi though.

Hi ds also has 209... having same problem on selecting reputable sch ard woodlands/yishun/bukit batok.... anybody can help... thks :?:

I'd recommend Bukit View, I'm from there. The teachers are hardworking and often stay back to help the weaker students. My school focuses a lot on the environment, so our CIP is often environment themed. I mentioned it before, but my class/school mates are one of the most hardworking people I've ever met, they also have the results to prove it! I think my school's strong CCAs are the dances and uniformed groups.

Hi youare_ugly.... thanks for your recommendation... i'll look into the sch profile...
No problem. Our Open House is tomorrow, going back to \"sell\" our school. *sigh*
There are limited schools with T-score 210 for Express class. Anybody here would like to share your advice? I really don't wish to put my child in a lousy school. Can I appeal to opt for normal class in Good school? Teacher told me I cannot as result stated \"Express\" 😢

First thing first, where do you stay? West, etc etc? Not all schools with a COP of 210++ is a lousy school. In my experience, I'm in a T-score 210++ school, and my class/school mates are one of the most hardworking people I've ever seen, it really depends on the individual.

area- Bishan, AMK or Toa Payoh. Sorry, please don't feel offended. I mean I need school with less \"ah beng\". After seeing news on gang fights, I'm worried.
Hehe, no problem. My cousin goes Peirce Sec (sec 2 next year), heard from my aunt that the school's discipline is quite strict and their uniformed groups are quite good.

Heard Bukit Batok not bad, I'm not too sure about the COP though.

How about Yuhua, Fuhua or Westwood?
I just commented on Westwood (look below!), I know Fuhua has a good robotics CCA and a shooting range, therefore their shooting must be quite good lar! I'm not too sure about Yuhua though.

Is westwood sec good? any comments?
I have a friend in there, he said it's not bad. Um, I'm not sure if this is a good thing, it's very near Bukit Panjang Plaza and many students go there for lunch between the period, after school and before CCA starts.

šŸ˜ž my son only score 210 for his PSLE result. i dnt know which school should i choose. pls advice me 😢

Where do you stay, then identify the schools around your area. Choosing a school near my house is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I wake up at 6.30am every morning, take my time to have breakfast and reach home within 20 minutes. Hours in secondary school are quite long, so sleep is good!

Secondly, drive/walk/etc round the school and the environment. Attend the Open House, ask a few questions and generally get a feel of the school.

Lastly, it all depends on the individual. There can be lazy people/bad influences in RI/RGS/HCI/etc.

      Good luck!

Hi, mine got 209. Having headache too on selecting reputable school around Bishan, AMK , Toa Payoh area.

If you don't mind a small school with strict discipline, you can try Peirce Sec (along Upper Thomson Road). Main entrance from Sin Ming Road (beside Bishan Park Secondary School).

PSS is strong in uniform groups.

My sister got A* for Science and the rest all As, 242. Very happy for her šŸ™‚ She's in the third class, after her school's (MGS) own gifted program class and the top class. The average score of her class is around 240++. If this year's PSLE was harder, I think there'd be more 250s.

      She's going back to MGS.

Hmm...I didnt know MGS had GEP. Anyway, how did you do šŸ™‚

It's their own in house program, called the Sophia Blackmore Class. Hehehe, average, I got 215 in '07 (i very lazy one!).
