Champion:teh_oh:Seems like the old 'textual' is now the new 'situational' writing. The piece of work that my child did in school was termed as 'situational writing'. A short scenerio (eg Peter was about to fall asleep when he heard someone shouting \"Help me!\". Write a compo describing what happened.) was given and the students were supposed to write a story about/relating to it.Maybe there was a confusion over the terms used.Yea, teh_oh, maybe I have to speak with my DD1's EL T during the PTC to clarify what are those 2 terms mean and what are expected from the child Sigh...find that P3 is really a big jump from P2 and so many new terms; new things to learn everyday. But am very thankful for all the helpful parents / teachers here who are so selfless to come forward and guide along; :thankyou: :grphug:Dear Champion,Did you manage to talk to your dd's teacher about sensational writing? What is it? Did your daughter expose to this type of writing during P3? Thank you in advance for sharing:)
