Hi!I have read conflicting expereinces/hearsays in this forum about ACS accepting donations in cash or kinds.
If dontation is really accepted by the school, under which phase would the kid fall under?
Unless you heard it from the horse's mouth, that is, the person who donated to the school got his son into the school because of the donation, I don't think you should believe in \"hearsay\" so much.ryanfund:
I am sure all schools welcome donations, but to link it to securing a place in the school?Does anyone know who I can call in the school to find out if they accept donation for sure?

I agree. I've heard several tales of how donating large sums of money will help secure a place at ACS but this is never from the parent themselves but it is always a friend of a friend or some distant relative...In fact, one of my pal had asked about it so that her son can go to the school but was told no. Erm, they get most of the donations from us parents after the child has entered in the schoolryanfund:

By the way, ryanfund, you haven't reported at the Newbie thread. Can you please report there? It's the SOP in KSP.com.

I’m a christian, so I’m wondering whether I’ll be eligible for Phase 2B. Or do I have to be a member of a certain church to be eligible? Thanks for your advice!

Either be a member of the Methodist church or join the grassroots. -

Hi Keroppi, will any methodist church qualify or must be a particular one? We're attending Trinity Methodist Church once in a while but we haven't decided whether to join or to look for another church.galaxyraider:

Any Methodist church will do. Trinity is certainly one of them. Check it out: http://www.methodist.org.sg/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=233 -

Thanks a lot for the clarification, Keroppi! In that case, we might decide to stay in Trinity because it's near our house.galaxyraider:

You’re welcome. During the P1 registration period, you can get the letter of certificate from the church’s general office for Phase 2B registration. Think the pastor will inform the congregation …

Thanks Keroppi! I'm so glad I saw your post... I was disappointed that ACS doesn't accept PV but I'm a member at Wesley. Yaay!
I may be staying in the 1-2km range... chances aren't fantastic but at least it helps to be in Phase 2B.
