          Actually this year’s P2B isnt that overly subscribed (except St Hildas)… means that parents who really want to have a safe bet on their preferred school can still do PV.

              ChongZheng vs Yumin

              Chongzheng is better in academic but then Yumin CCA is better and seems to be an "all-rounder" kind of school… Which school would you choose?

                    this year (2007 piggy) :-

                    Poi Ching (67 vac left, 72.1 % taken) and Chongzheng (55 vac, 69.4 % taken) are hotter, than last year :
                    http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=452&start=710

                    Gongshang also popular (87 vac left, 63.8 % taken)

                    with 67 vac left, it is possible that Poi Ching (SAP school) may enter balloting, at Phase 2C.

                      Hi phtthp;

                      Thats what i am worried about, it guess it there are many upcoming housing nearby,
                      I believe next year will be worst. A few of the site are going to TOP and Poh Ching is the only school nearby.
                      Very stress for my son.

                        are you registering your child this year, or subsequent years ?

                        if not this year and still got time to do PV, try to enter Poi Ching (PC) via PV, phase 2B - is safe.
                        this year phase 2B, PC (57 vac, but 46 registered) - still have 11 remaining vacancies left, to be carried over into phase 2C.

                        http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/vacancies/#tampines

                        Tampines area :-
                        after St Hilda (GEP school, but not SAP) always number 1 popular - the only SAP school is Poi Ching. PC academic standard is high - not just Chinese alone. Other subjects like English, Maths also high. (i'm not sure about her Science, though).

                        last year (2006 doggie) - PC was in low profile.
                        Perhaps Tampines town too big, with many primary schools around. Tampines parents can pick and choose. This year, maybe different. Think you need to have a back up school, on standby. Watch out for PC stats by 1 August, 12 pm noon time, phase 2C.
