Between qiao nan and east view primary, which will you choose ? -
My husband said Shps principal was helping to do some promotion for evps at the balloting this morning?
And for some reason, I kept bumping into evps students this afternoon…it was going to be my one of my backups, in case we didn’t get picked for shps. Ha… -
next comes the question –>
how to start networking shps parents?
what other preparation is needed for my kiddo for p1?
starting to feel anxious and not sure how i shd better prep my boy… experienced parents, any advise please!!! -
Make sure he can read well and do independent work. SHPS teachers do not spoonfeed. Btw, during orientation, the kids will be whisked off for a small assessment test. Nothing too difficult, just simple math questions. It’s to test their readiness for P1 maybe… Not sure. My boy said it was very easy so no stress.

This should be helpful I suppose for us new P1 student parents

Just received the confirmation slip from SHPS, orientation is 8th November 2013.

I got my letter too…and they asked us to resubmit the MT option form and some other documents e.g. birth cert etc. Husband called to ask why need to resubmit when we submitted that day but office wasn’t sure.
Anyways~ 8 Nov! Will we find out what class etc on that day? -
Nope, they will not announce the class until year end when you receive a letter from the school. As mentioned earlier, the kids will be doing an assessment test and they will group the kids from there…

this test happens on the 8th? -
Yes. Parents will have their briefing in the hall and the kids will be whisked off to be with the teachers.
