      Village Girl:
My girl didnt tell me anything abt the recyling day. 😞

I plan to let my girl bring sandwiches every alt day to prevent her from eating too much rice. haha. before that, she had rice daily for recess. Student care had rice for lunch, rice for recess and rice for dinner. i faint. haha
Let her b independent & buy 4 herself lah. She will try other things once sick of rice. 😉
DS just tried egg roti prata ytd. Was so happy got sugar on top in lieu of curry.
He complained that the Wanton noodle stall gave him 10ct less change & when he approached her to ask 4 it the next day (as we taught him to, when we heard abt it), she refused to pay him back. Told him to boycott the stall for time-being & to b more careful w change in future.[/quote

I told her to choose noodles but she says she prefer rice. Have roti prata? haha. not sure whether she knows coz she loves it too.

Why not encourage her to try the noodles sometimes. My girl eat noodles everyday instead. Eating too much of noodles. I ask her to try rice instead. What type of rice your girl have ?

I encouraged her but she prefers rice. She had chicken rice on most of her days and 1 of the day she had baked beans with rice. She told me she chose the dish herself and paid $0.80 for it.

Every night got homework now. Mostly English. Have to colour every page after writing....

I know... It was either English or the other non-core subjects.

My boy went today. Brought by his buddy to the library during recess time. Took a NLB newsletter back with him today. No other further information from him yet ...

Managed to ask DS this evening if he has had a chance to go to the library and he said 'not yet'. He said that must make the 'card' (library?) before they can borrow books.

BTW, any idea approximately when will they make the student EZ-link card?

DS told me that he bought fishball noodles by himself today now that there is no more buddy system. M really proud of him 💋 we were initially worried that he mayn't be able to manage those soup based food.

He said that the classes are all allocated seats in the canteen with their class lname abelled. So he just bought his noodles and ate with his classmates.

DS always told me he dint know his buddy’s name when i asked him abt it. I was telling him that it was rude & shld make an effort to ask if he can’t pronounce it from the name tag etc during lunch just now & Ds blurted that his buddy will call him a f*** if he dare to use his name.

I was so shocked! To think the buddy is a prefect somemore! :x

Don’t think DS knows the meaning of the word but just repeating his conversation w his buddy. Told Ds it’s a bad word & don’t ever use it himself.

oh my goodness! this is bad. my DS also doesn't know his buddy name but he told him that he \"played catching\" with him as well as his buddy's two friends after they had taken their food during recess.

THe EZ link should be around end Jan/Begining Feb.

Once they got their EZ Link card/student card, they can start to borrow books.
However, one suggestion from my son (he is in P2 now) is to have a photocopy Ez Link card. He can used it to borrow books yet not worry that he may accidentally lost it.
