RE: Nan Chiau Primary
THe EZ link should be around end Jan/Begining Feb.
Once they got their EZ Link card/student card, they can start to borrow books.
However, one suggestion from my son (he is in P2 now) is to have a photocopy Ez Link card. He can used it to borrow books yet not worry that he may accidentally lost it. -

I thought Optician can’t prescribed for children under 7. They have to use the prescription from the refraction clinics.
one of the advice that the Ophthalmologist given to me is that after wearing glasses for a while, my girl Astigmatism may corrected but chances she will have short sighted then. -

1st and 2nd 2 years apart
2nd and 3rd 5 years apart.

RE: All About Kids' Eye-sight
My girl just diagnosed with Astigmatism and she is just in K1. She has pretty serious Astigmatism over 300 for each eye.
In fact, she was diagnosed by Singapore Health Board Nurses that visted the childcare.
They then refer her to SHB @ SGH. Due to her serious Astigmatism, they then refer her to NUH again.
Optician won’t be able to diagnose for children under 7 years old.
They need to refer to the eye centre where a thorough diagnoses will be carried out. It requires eye drops on the child.
Unfortunately, the only help for her now is wearing glasses to get her vision corrected.
