My dd was offered likewise last yr. it's tjc !My dd is offered COs fr DHS and TJC. We hv to make a decision abt which sch to choose. Really appreciate if students or parents of TJC could kindly answer my questions:
(1) What's the school hrs of TJC like?
(2) Are sec1 students required to take up 1 aesthetic and 1 sports CCA? Are the students admitted to the CCAs by selection fr school or they can just choose the CCA that they are interested in?
(3) Is there any 'O' level track if my child can't cope w IP? Are there frequent assessments(eg. tests, projects etc) to help me keep track of my child's progress?
Thank you in advance:) -

My DS has been offered TJC and DHS via DSA too and we also do not know which to choose.
Can you share with us why you have decided on TJC (other than the distance) after speaking with your friends and nieces from dhs? -
Can someone help to clarify when people says that TJC does not have an O level track? Does it means that the student may be asked to leave if they do not perform up to mark.
Appreciate.

Hi Parents/students,
Just want to check what time must the students report to school from Mon to Fri? For year 1 students, do they have a lot of homework? And lastly, what is the promotion criteria i.e like from yr 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and so on?
Appreciate your help.
Thank you. -

Hi gtayc! I'm a J1 student (J2 next year) who's surviving on just $2.00 per day for 1 meal during lunch (rice + 2 vegetable + 1 fish/meat). The more expensive stalls such as the Western one sells theirs at an average of $3.50. The drinks are reasonably priced as well ranging from $1.00 - $2.50.
Though if your son/daughter dines at the hawker centre opposite College, it would be advisable to give around $5.00 because the food there is selling at prices approximately $3.00 - $5.00.
