        Hi Redrose,

Thanks for your response. My new year resolution is to try to do that with my 2 kids (P1 and P2 in 2009) next year. Unless of course if I am travelling then it can’t be help. Hopefully daddy can do his part then.

            Hi Working Kiasu Mom,

may I know how come you are paying 2 Chinese tuition? as I realized your child in Jiang Lao Shi… my son is in their GP class. Probably you can try out. The class duration is 3 hrs … for upper primary (P3 onwards, it includes Compo every lesson). I hope this will help to reduce your cost a little…

                Hello Barney

It’s Morris Allen Study Centre. I sit in one of dd class years ago. It’s really fun. I don’t even realize that 1 hour has gone so quickly. I would want a sit in next year to have a feel of what is being taught for both dd & ds.

I know dd is having fun because her class came out running noisily, laughing. Extremely in high spirit. For ds, it’s more subdued. He’s not happy that he is being restricted to borrow books which he finds interesting. They have to borrow books weekly & sometime will need to share with the class on what they read.

However, during the parents teachers meeting, the teachers do give good information & tips. I’m changing both of them to creative writing. See how it impacts their mood.

Weekdays 1.5 hours is cheaper. They also has 2 hours weekday class. The most expensive will be the weekend 2 hour classes.

                  Thanks EN for sharing

I know Moris Allen has a centre at East Point, will check it out when I have the time, still searching for English enrichment for my gal going P1 in a few weeks time. She has never had any enrichment for English, hope she’s able to cope in P1.

                    Your welcome, Barney.

You might also want to read through the thread on Languages, Speech and Drama. There is one on British Council, Learning Lab & MASC. Another one that I like is CSC comment on how to improve English but I can’t remember which thread was it.

Don’t worry too much. I’m sure your daughter will do just fine in P1. Best of luck & warm wishes.

                      Hi all

My friend just engaged a maths tutor for her primary school child and the tuition fees are quite shocking. It is about 100 bucks a lesson. Anyway, how much do you guys spend on tuition per child per month? I spent a lot on Chinese enrichment classes in primary school.
                      Any input is most appreciated!
                      Thanks!
