Raysusan, your girl's K1 uniform looks like Snow White!

My girl be going to P1 in Jan 2009, dont think I would bring camera to take her pics in school, most probably just do so at home in her uniform. Else wont it be kind of distracting? She would keep looking at me instead of the teacher. And I wonder would the school allow parents to stand outside the classroom or banish all of us to the gates? We just got the booklist and uniform order form yest...
The 1st couple of days in Primary 1 are probably the only time parents are actually allowed to stand outside the classroom for the rest of their child's schooling days. You sure you want to give up on such a privilege? Or maybe save your child the embarrassment ๐Ÿ™‚

On the first 2 days of sch, parents are not allowed to be outside classrooms or any place nearby. You are only allowed to be in the canteen. And when the children are having recess, you have to make way for them and stay outside of the canteen.

Hi Parents of 2009 P1 Goers,

              How's first day of school?
My boy's first day is quite ok.
During the second day (today)recess, when my boy's buddy stopped halfway to talk to his friends, my boy told him \"No time to talk ah\" and pulled him to the canteen to buy food.

My girl is very happy with her new school.

I told her just before I dropped her off at school this afternoon that I'll be visiting her again at recess time (this is the last chance parents get to see their kids at recess), she said \"Har? For what??\" **fainted**

Today, her form teacher got her to help write on the board names of the misbehaving classmates while she is away. She was so happy to be tasked to do that!

                        Think kids quite independent nowadaysโ€ฆ

I sent my girl up onto her school bus on her first day, after numerous reminders by me what to do, what not to do etc. Think the mummy more kan-cheong than the child hahaโ€ฆ Popped over to see her during recess in the canteen, but she not interested in us at all and told us to stop taking her pictures! LOL. Then she took the school bus back herself. Overall quite a peaceful event. Didnt see any kid crying or what in the canteen eitherโ€ฆ
