Chief, Am planning to send my child to St. Nicholas School next year and am living in AMK Ave 10 which is far from St.Nicholas School. But am willing to relocate for my child and By when should i move to within 1km distance, if i need to be qualified for the 1km distance admission.
Also pls highlight me what all should i do to get my child admission into St. Nicholas School. Pardon me, i really have no idea about all this.

Next year?? You mean your girl going to P1 next year? For St Nic at AMK, every year they ballot phase 2B and 2C within 1 km....if you are not a parent volunteer by now...then you will have to go thru' phase 2C balloting, which is very very competitive.

        Good luck!

sgKiasu, have you gone through the articles listed http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/getting-primary-school?.

If by 2010 intake you mean your daughter will be in P1 by next year, and if you have no means of getting in at Phases before 2B, then you are in for a difficult time. Look at the http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/ang-mo-kio. And if you are staying more than 1km from St Nicholas, you should not consider that school at all, because it will be impossible to get in without any affiliation.

                    Hi,

Does anyone know about St Nicholas Girls Primary from experience?
Am trying to know more about the school in terms of whether the workload is heavy.. it is stressful and pressurising (relatively), are the teachers more patient , are there lots of homework/ project. Do they empahsize alot on Chinese? How are children who are slower in Chinese taught? My girl tend to do better with love and tender than pressure.
Hi, I checked the whole thread but didn't find any response to this post. Thought I would bump it up. Thanks.
