Hi, My boy is in 1E too.[/quote]My son's name is Kaiwen.. He is also blur whenever i asked about his school time. I think they haven't done so much so far for the new week. I have to guess everyday what are the books they are supposed to carry for the next day. The pupil's handbook has not much info. How do you manage that? Does your boy tell you what needs to be bring for the next day? -
Hi, My girl is in 1D.
I had wrote in to school and ask on some questions.
I had also ask my girl on what they had been doing.
Thus far, there is a already a time table issued to my girl in her handbook. It is stapled to the first page.
My girl has also shared with me they have started learning numbers yesterday (Thursday). However not sure about other classes. You might want to check with your child again.
However I’ve also learnt from my child that the buddy system for canteen has stopped since Thursday, and the primary 1 kids are now alone with teachers and some adults supervision for their recess time. -

One confusion is that although we have bought the four books for Mother Tongue Chinese according to the book list issued by the school, my boy says there is still another activity book for Chinese class that need to buy. He is not able to tell the exact name of the activity book and only remembers there is a dog on the cover page.
Any parents can give me a hint on the book?
Thanks. -

Oh, Ryan will tell me what to bring the next day. But still a bit clueless as I got 2 others running about in nursery and home.
Oh Kaiwen. My son's BFF :)) according to his introduction sheet. My son is Ryan Stopel. Ryan says your son is taller then him which is not an easy feat. -
Both my daughters are in 1F. I have viewed their handbook and time table. Basically everyday there are English, Chinese and Math so I assume that they will have to bring all the books to school everyday. Their schoolbags are much lighter these days as some of the books are left in school.

Dear All,
I know ths sounds rather pre-sumptous..but can anyone advice which secondary school do the graduates of the YZ go to typically since there is no affliated secondary school?
Im actually aiming for DS to enter YZ and thus hoping to buy a place in Serangoon, however, am at the same time torn between the fact that having a Sec School affliation may be a safer bet like KCPP --> KCSS. this decision currently hampers the property purchasing decision as well :frustrated:
Anyone has any thoughts? most appreciate.
Thanks!

Hi Ryan's mom, I also saw your son's name appear on the introduction sheet.
Yes, my son is quite tall. More than 1.32m now and I guess he might be the tallest in the P1 batch. I hope he will not be sent later on for the additional exercise to lose some weight as he is heavier comparing to other kids.
After these first 2 weeks, now the boy can manage to prepare for the books or stuff to be brought for the next day. I can tell he is getting to enjoy the school time.
I specially like the school story time every morning that the kid must bring one book to read during that session. My boy completed alot books in the last 2 weeks. That is very good to see the school put efforts to cultivate this good habit.
How about your son?
