Hi, jedamum. Thanks for your advise! Then I will channel my energy to what they are currently being taught instead.
Btw, which centre are you in? Since yours includes readers, I wonder if the course fee the same? Mine is $391.10 for a term. Do you still want to keep your readers? If not, will be glad to borrow from you.
You are welcome. No worries! For K1, with home reinforcement, you kid should be able to pick up word recognition. The part I am struggling now is the sentence structure as my boy's thoughts are in english, so when he translate that to chinese, it becomes funny. 😄 It seems like it doesn't really helps that I speak to him in Mandarin at home as I realised that my Mandarin is just as atrocious.

My boy is in Bukit Batok Branch. I think the course fee is around that range...can't really remember.

Er...I am still using the old readers to revise and getting him to read as he is reluctant to read any other chinese storybook.

        1) 48 readers
Just to note, N1 and N2 is different.

Hi, jedamum. Again, thanks for pointing this out.
        heyhoe:
Does N2 starts at 4 years old?
Hi, heyhoe. N2 is those borned in 2005. Altho mine are 4.2 years old, they are born in 2004. So, K1 instead.
Btw, I will not be interested to purchase your colleague's material. Thanks for sourcing out.[/quote]No worries, glad to be of help.

          Hi mummies,

My kid is in Berries too. I saw that some of you mentioned they have readers? As in optional story books for purchase? She has been with them for 1/2 year but I dont recall the school mentioning any readers.

            berriestan,
the readers is a small orange or yellow booklet - not optional.
i dunno if it is the standard that P1 don't have any more readers or they phase it out starting this year as my P1 boy doesn't have any readers since start of this term.

                    Jedamum,

thanks. I have managed to read thru the thread. Now I really dun know which one to chose. Will check out Molin after CNY.

Parents who send their kids to Molin. How much is the programme for K1?

For Molin, I think it is around $76 for preschool and $96 for primary. Very reasonable especially with the quality that comes with it.

Recently my nursery gg started their nursery class. There are only 2 including her in the class. Wow imagine the attn they get.

Yes, Molin's rates are really reasonable for the quality they provide.

MMM, how old is your daughter now? 4 yo? How do you think the Molin nursery class compares with Berries and others? In Berries, they spend 1.5hrs learning a sentence of 5 or more characters. They do lots of activities involving the characters to drive home the meaning. That is the main strength of the Berries' nursery programmes.
