A note of advise to all parents:

        1. Please keep track of the enrollment take up rate for your distance and any priority distances before yours. Especially on the last day of enrollment. Dont be complacent - avoid getting caught in any sudden tide change and lose the precious 2C chance to enroll.

        2. Dont solely rely on the school to call in the event of no balloting chance.
Reason - You may be the 60th person to be called and only that 20min left for action.

        3. Bring original ICs etc for withdrawal. Your spouse could wait at the other school to grab a Q number for registration once withdrawal has been completed. It takes approx 3min for withdrawal if no queue.

Anyway some tongue in cheeks observations in the remaining minutes to 4.30pm today:

        1. If someone came running in with messy hair and clothes, ahhh ... that's a withdrawal!!
(And hopefully for the same distance as mine! )

        2. If someone walked in calmly like a queen, chances are the person is here to register under 1km!
(Arghhh!!! I should have blocked the school gate earlier to prevent people from coming in!)

        3. If someone kept opening door and closing the classroom's door, that guy must be a fellow under 1km competitor awaiting results too!

        4. If someone stepped in with a chilling air, opps ... better siam .... must be someone from >1km coming in to flip table cos too late to react ..... 😛

After this yr’s bad experience I think next year may not have 1-2km parents applying ALPS until last day… only if they confirm they have chance they might apply… And this is for those who are aware of this yr’s situation!

I am very surprised. If they register under phase 2b, that means that they hve volunteered for 40 hours. A lot of commitment. If they withdrew and go ALPS, really means something is holding them back. They shd be situated within 1km from zhangde and ALPS or even Radin Mas. Wish them luck cos by 2C supplementary, not many school with vacancies left. It is a very tough decision.

For those with 1 to 2km of ALPS, if staying around dawson or strathmore, they will need to make a good decision in phase 2c supp as take up rate for queenstown pri is also higher than previous years than phase 2C perhaps due to new bto ready there.

They could be grassroot leaders, not necessarily PVs.

Unlikely grassroot, if they are keen on ALPS, would hve registered there under earlier phase 2b instead of risking the uncertainty in phase 2c.

Blur mum is right. One of them did volunteer work at Zhangde. Not sure abt the other one though.

U bet it is. But they hv the choice to do so. One of them was contemplating n made the decision when the husband came to join her. Then she came to the room to announce to everyone that she is sorry to put all within 1km into balloting because she has decided to apply. The rest of us were crest fallen.
