      sashimi:
Very simple - lactose in the milk, which is a sugar, feeds the bacteria that is in your throat during a flu/cough. This causes phelgm to multiply.

So, any type of sugar (in excessive amounts) is bad when you have phlegm. That's why \"old people\" always say when kids have coughs, cannot drink sift drinks, cannot eat sweets, etc.

        jedamum:
The second pregnancy, intending to start 'afresh', I got mysef a tin of Annum. After a few rounds, I switch back to Choc Fresh Milk.

Maybe thanks to milk, for height, ds2 is under the 97th percentile while ds1 hovers between 50-75th percentile.
Yucks! Anmum is super horrible. I almost spat it out and didn't even finish my first cup. Luckily, it was only a sample sachet. I stuck to fresh milk and low-salt cheese during pregnancy.

You DS2 in same percentile as my DD. When she was that age, her height almost got her classified as underweight as she was very slim. She ate a lot and had very big appetite (even now) but somehow, always so slim. Must be like me. (And if she remains like me, once she gets much older, she will go pear-shaped. Sigh....)

          Heyya sashimi,

          Then, breasfeeding mothers shud have
100% fresh milk tatooed on our chest!!
          Yeah! πŸ˜‰

Waaaayyy fresher than cow's milk and
          confirmed melamine free. Heheheh..
HAhahaha, I will NOT make any jokes about plastic surgery. πŸ˜‰

Btw, i think its great that you're so involved
with how your DD is raised.
Just saw your post - thank you. πŸ˜„ I have to admit, one reason is that when I was a little boy, my dad was totally hands-off. But he is still a very decent, dutiful man. But I have no memory of him as a child. i decided not to do this to my DD. πŸ™‚

Ok back to milk, I have a question for anyone..... what is the best, fastest way to warm up fresh milk from the fridge? I'm not into microwaving for this.

So leh jeh to set up + yet another thing to wash + doesn't that take a while to warm up also? 😐 I need something that warms up fast without spoiling the taste.

I feed my gal fresh goat milk ( http://www.haydairies.com.sg/ ). Some of those off the shelve milk may not be suitable for kids as some have calcium additive and other stuff. My the other kid, something he will get stomachache drinking some formula milk, so usually switch between different brand frequently in case some of the brand got problem.

That is the only goat farm I know of in Singapore, any one know of others?

                      They do home delivery.

                        hi Phantom

What is the cost of drinking goat’s milk as compared to fresh cow’s milk, litre to litre.
