      mommy2two:
oh so they do arrange for swimming group for all P3s? and is it a year long program or when the kids are able to swim, then that's it?

do we have to pay extra for this and usually is it a once a week cca?
i'm more concern on the transport arrangement for this if they have it on weekdays.
Hi mommy2two, during my ds' time in 2013, they conducted swimming classes only after SA2 for a few sessions. Pupils were split into different groups depending on how well they could swim, based on level of swimsafer certification. Not sure if they have changed this now.

Forgot to add this was held in the morning during school hours. So they would depart from school abt 8+ or 9 and back ard noon. School provided the 2-way transport. Then, they went to Clementi and Bukit Batok Swimming Complex for the lessons.

              Colours Awards

Hello every one. May I enquire what's a colours award? My daughter is in P1 and told me she has a colours award. Is this for outstanding performance in CCA or something ? grades-wise : she's quite average so I don't think it's due to academic.
thanks, please share if your kids have received this from PHPPS in the past. :thankyou:

                  Hi bluechin

Colours awards are given to recognise pupils with v good behaviour/character and leadership. There are a few types of colours awards in pei hwa eg character award, leadership award. Bye, PHP… I still have one more boy joining PHPPS in 2017 so I’ve to stay around till 2022!!

For those interested to know, kids can wear PE attire everyday if they wish all the way till before PSLE. Mine only wears PE and uniform only for prize giving or special occasions. I guess if school is not changing their rules on this, then can maintain one set of uniform till p6.

During my gal’s time in p1 (2009), they’re only allowed PE attire on PE days. During exam periods, all were told to be in uniform. But when my boy joined, the school became more relax and no longer enforce the same rules.

                        Just to share,

My P2 got back her report book on Wed, We were :yikes: to find our that:

Even though her HMT score is 9x,shei is only in the 7x percentile.
And her overall aggregate of 28x is only the 8x percentile. :faint:

Seems like next year, many for GEP selection.

We are still satisfied with DD's performance.Hard to change her bad handwriting and carelessness
                        😂
