I was told by a classmate parent that there will be no SA1 for P1 this year. She called the school and they confirm that too. :celebrate:

Anyone heard about this?

You sure? :!: So far I have seen from boy's spelling list that SA1's exam period is on the 8th week of Term 2. Of course I hope its true

Yup. There was. Sort of like a mini-tests. My boy had for his English and Maths during Term 1. As for Chinese, he had it one/two weeks ago.

Just received a pink form regarding the SA1 Exam. I believed all parents should received it by now.

Yup, received the form saying no SA1 for P1.


Mixed feeling coz not sure how is she coping for her P1. haha. I asked her again about the test and she still insist no test for her class. :lol:

I think the kids should be fine. In fact we are glad that there is no SA for them in P1. At least they (and us) wouldn't be so stressed.

As for the tests, I suspect they are impromptu. My DS also don't know about them. To him, its just worksheet and quiz - he likely doesn't know the difference...hahaa

Hi,

We joined for a full year b4 the P1 registration & gotten the recommendation. To play safe, you can increase ur chance by being active/be a volunteer in its activities. (Altho, some friends who joined at the same time as us but dint even go for orientation or any event, get their recommendations too.)
However, you will need to act fast as there r 2 cut-off dates in a year for SHHK memberships & I hope u hv not missed the latest 1!

For us, we joined SHHK for about 3.5years. We also didn't join any of the SHHK's activities. So we had a mini \" heart attack\" when we saw that field in the application form for the recommendation letter. Besides the recommendation letter, the distance from your home to school also plays a part if the number of places are limited. !

can anyone confirm if this Fri, 30 Apr is a school holiday for the p1 given that it is the SHHK Five School Combined Sports Meet?

the school circular wasn’t explicit on that but my DS told me that only P5 & 6 need to go to school.
