Yes, if you fail at Ai Tong, then try at Teck Ghee / Mayflower Pri/ Marymount Convent at Phase 2CS.

BTW, if you read the "All about Clan" thread, many SHHK members mentioned that just joining the clan doesn’t mean you will get the letter to apply at Phase 2B. You need to clock volunteer hours at SHHK for 2-4 years prior to the P1 registration.

As qms mentioned, you can still try the ballots at Phase 2C since you live within 1km. Slim chance but no harm trying especially if you don’t mind your kid going to neighbourhood schools. If you have a not too bad 2nd choice, would advise you to seriously consider the 2nd choice than to risk it at Ai Tong.

hello fellow bishan parents…need ur advice on this.

i got one DS born in 2008 and two DD (2010&2013). DS will go to cat high since daddy is an old boy. now i am worried for my gals.

is it possible… if my boy is really smart enough to be transferred to ai tong… so tat the younger sisters can follow him. but this sound a tad too risky as i am typing.

or should i just let him continue in cat high and look some other schools for my gals. our home is just beside KCPPS, but i am looking at either CHIJ our lady of good counsel or marymount convent. which would be a better choice- KCPPS, CHIJ OLGC or Marymount?

          thanks in advance!

No harm trying for the transfer to Aitong for P2 but they usually have no vacancies for P2 transfers. Even if they do, usually they will give to children of PVs who failed at the balloting. They had a vacancy for P3 this year. More vacancies for P4 due to outflow of GEP kids.

Problem is, your boy can only try for transfer once in end P1 (2015) coz the sister needs to register in July 2016.

Standard of KCPPS is comparable to OLGC. Will choose KCPPS for the proximity.

If for me , I will let my son stay in catholic high bec of the affiliation in sec sch. For the girls, should let them go to KC PPS. The school is good.
Ai tong doesn’t guarantee good result . My niece n nephew were from Ai tong . Result wise not that great . Chinese also not good. It really depends on the child ability n the parental guidance .

I heard that catholic high also set very high cut off point for the affiliated due to IP programme.

Yes, but there is still better chance in getting into catholic high if u are from the primary school as compared to from Ai Tong with no affiliation at all.

Err....the school only play one part, the rest must come from the home and parents, no ?

What I can say since my girl was from Aitong is that the school provides a very vigorous program to prepare the kids for the PSLE. My daughter still remember her days in Aitong fondly and occasionally still visit the school with her primary school classmates

Aitong gets 2 points off when they apply for Nan Chiau High school
