Accordg to dd2, the boy looked v pale and worried aft the paper. He burst out cryg when the teacher scolded him. He topped his class at the prelims. So I cant imagine what is going on in his mind.
This is a totally unacceptable behavior of a teacher.. :mad: Will her/his scolding help the boy??AppleCrumble:

As adults not taking the PSLE, we dont know the pressure the children are experiencing in the exam. Dd's teacher did a MCQ paper with the class. She had 6 mistakes out of 30 qns. There are several in class who scored full marks.
Under such tremendous stress and expectations from teachers/parents, I think the children did admirably le.
Even if he/she feels 'what a waste' for the boy, he/she is the adult and should be matured enough to hold his/her emotions in check and not barrage the boy...
Would not one think that the poor boy is already feeling bad and disappointed as it is?? Why must the teacher 'add stone to a person who has fallen into a well ' (落井下石) instead of comforting him? He is only a 12-year-old kid, for goodness sake.
This teacher should be ticked off by the Principal for his/her insensitivity !! :spank:
Sometimes I wish adults can understand that PSLE is just the first major paper in a child's school life.
Ds1 has a friend who is a top boy in pri sch expected to get 27+ but he got 24+ for PSLE instead. Had to appeal to get into sec sch. In sec sch he was top in cohort. Now in JC he is still top and doing a H3 paper. I dont think anyone remembered his PSLE score : )
PSLE journey is only the beginning ah.[/quote]I agree with all the parents here. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. I will kick up a big storm in school if I am the parent of the child. There should be no scolding on actual PSLE day. Especially if the child have more papers to sit for. On exam days, they should be provided with a positive environment and a positive mindset, not one filled with scolding. -

Which school is this? Poor boy, I pity him. That teacher should understand that 12-year-olds are still kids, and we students are not pressure cookers. There's no point crying over spilt milk, after all. The teacher should comfort the boy instead. Isn't his/her behaviour just \"火上加油\"? The boy feels bad as it already is... -

The balloon possessed Kinetic Energy to convert into Gravitional Potential Energy. Hence balloon continued to rise even after the balloon was deflated.
Q2. I think it should not be longer spring.
Change the spring into one that has lesser flexibility. So that it can receive a larger elastic spring force of up to 50kg weight limit.

My daughter, also said today paper very hard.
Seems this year PSLE paper generally quite hard for her.

Regarding the balloon question about why did the balloon continue to go up even though the balloon deflated, I have seen a similar question in a PSLE paper many years ago. The answer is most likely: The kinetic energy gained by the toy rocket has not been completely converted other forms of energy at point G. The kinetic energy gained by the toy rocket has been completely converted to other forms of energy at point L.Thus, the balloon only fall to the ground at point L.
