There are still some students whose parents still chose to travel during march holidays. And that affects the group project works. In my DD case, she has to even do those portions where her grp members supposed to do but they were not around due to travelling. I think it's a bit unfair here as it's meant to be teamwork and the marks is for everybody and not individual.Nsw28:
Need advise. DD is going to IP year 1 next year. Not sure when is Cedar's exam period. Any clash (with exam or project work) if we go overseas during the 1 week March sch holiday?
My daughter spent her Mar, Jun and Sept holidays on projects, cca, mtgs and hw (loads of it). She uses the Mar hol to prep for exam in end Apr, Jun hol to cover all the proj and Sept hol to prep for exams in end Sept and early Oct. Accordg to her, take a hol in MarJunSept is just too risky for her gpa, ldrship and sports cca commitment. -
After having my dd in Cedar IP for 2 years, I realised that the best time to hv an overseas vacation is after the EOY exams. That’s when she can truly relax and enjoy. Dd continues to be rather busy during the Mar, Jun & Sept hols. Her CCA continues till end Nov.
It is indeed very frustrating to hv missing members when doing project work. -

Was told by a staff that there is no one request to transfer out till today and hence no vacancies yet (both O &IP). -
I saw a user comment on the SNGS thread that her daughter transferred from cedar to SNGS( pg 129) so doesn’t that mean there will be a vacancy?

Yes, probably tomorrow the admin system in cedar will get updated again. -
We dropped by Cedar around 4pm to release process. Hope you get good news tomolo.
