      ABOUT CCAs:

As mentioned previously, every CCA in every school has to be busy to be fulfilling. 2-3 times a week would be a good commitment level. Really good way to get students interested in school, as they have something to look forward to other than lessons ๐Ÿ™‚

In my opinion, most DHS CCAs (especially in Junior High) are hard core and train many times a week. The spirit of excellence is strong!

      ABOUT BUTTONS:

That's a great way to attach the metal button on, you don't have to use the ring every day. Anyway, remember to remove the buttons before washing the uniform. Some of my friends say the button will rust if you don't. I've got friends who just washed the buttons for 4 years without much rusting on the buttons too...

At the end of it, it's how much care you want to take of the buttons ๐Ÿ™‚ Most people keep the buttons after finishing Junior High/ graduating from DHS. The metal button was also one of the items in the DHS60 commemorative set!

Anyone can share on tips about time management? Example:- how much time to allocate for each subjects? and what to do during the allocated time? To do research, revision, preparation for each subjects? and also the homework. I would like to understand from either parents or students of DHS. Thank you in advance!

Hi I'm a Y1 student from Dunman high. I would just like to clarify if there is a mind sports cca. I checked the school website mind sports is listed there but it was not in the cca briefing that the school gave us and it is not on the slides as well.

Btw my first day had been great! The orientation was really fun today ๐Ÿ™‚
Mind Sports is a CCA offered to SH, not JH.
Wait until you finish your Y4 EOYs to consider that CCA
Glad you had fun for orientation, enjoy your years in DHS!

Thanks Lervin for the sharing of DHS 2016 A level results...

Big CONGRATS to DHS 2016 A level cohort...Well done !!!

I am most impressed with the % of Distinctions for H2 Geog when i first heard it from my gal...
ALL these years, DHS has been consistently performing well for her H2 Geog with 70+ % of Distinctions...but for 2016 yr...managed to surpass the norm with 91.7 %...Marvelous !!!

Wonder why this year there is a delay in updating the school website...as past years DHS has been very prompt in reporting her A level results... ( hmm...any technical fault ??)

No idea about new policy by new Principal.. But DD was lamenting that when Dr Foo was around, during assembly time, he would always greet the students with \"ๅพทๆ˜Žๆ—ฉๅฎ‰\" to which she and her schoolmates would enthusiastically responded with \"ๆ ก้•ฟๆ—ฉๅฎ‰!\".

Now that Dr Foo was not around anymore, and the new principal doesn't greet them the same way that Dr Foo did, DD said she kind of missed the \"ๅพทๆ˜Žๆ—ฉๅฎ‰\" and \"ๆ ก้•ฟๆ—ฉๅฎ‰\" ๐Ÿ˜‚
