I don’t want to speculate on Amos Yee. Well, he is currently in solitary confinement in US jail for insulting Muslim and that said a lot about him.


Anyway, let’s get back to how the school is.

My son just graduated and is now at Hwa Chong… He did well beyond our expectations and we have to thanked his teachers for it.

However, it was not always smooth sailing. Over the 4 years, there were some teachers that he found not so good, although generally in the minority.

For a neighborhood school, it has been doing generally well, given the COP is around 236 to 237 range.

But what I noticed is that overall GCE O Level results have deteriorated since the change of principal when my son was in Sec 1.

But, overall it is still a good school and discipline is strict.

No it isnt affiliated to any other schools. The nearest JC, Nanyang JC, is linked with the 2 Chung Cheng schools. :nosebleed:

JC affiliation is 2 bonus pts off L1R5 and only applies if u dun hav HMT and only have 1/2 bonus pts fm CCA, maximum only can deduct 4 pts with additional 2 if take CLEP (the 语特 thing, but dont anyhow use coz its quite demanding for Chinese std).

Understand that ZHSS has AEP. But students taking AEP will not be taking FCE & DT. May I know the pros & cons of it?

If did not take these 2 subjects in lower sec does it mean cannot take these subjects in upper sec liao?

If wanna go Poly will AEP help?

Needed some people with knowledge of this programme to share with me.
