Chief, thanks for the useful links.

Hi parents, in case you are not aware, this year's registration had many frustrated parents not receiving data on distance breakdown.
See the discussion here: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=83199&p=1789721#p1789721
If you wish to see some change happen before your turn for registration happens next year, please do make some noise. All the best! -
Check-in! my son was born in 2013, planning to enrol him to Chong Fu.
Applying SHHK member and preparing to do volunteer job.
Great to have this topic to share information.

check-in! my daughter was born in 2013.
We stay in Jurong west and now starting looking for information on school as below:
Within 1 km
1. West Groove
2. Frontier
3. Westwood
4. Jurong west primary
Checked year 2017 allocation results. https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/jurong-west/
Schools above within 1km also need balloting for SCs phase 2C.
too competitive for those schools?
Thanks -
Hi everyone!
My boy is due for P1 registration in two year's time and I am surprised to see this thread up already.
I stay in Bishan and knowing the competitiveness of the schools around here, hubby and I decided to just rely on fate (and a lot of luck) and wait till Phase 2C to register our boy.
Our Top 3 choices:
1st choice: Pei Chun Public (within 1 Km)
2nd choice: Kheng Cheng School (1-2km)
3rd choice: Guangyang Pri (within 1 km and walking distance)
Ultimately, we believe all schools are good schools and there are different aspects of the schools that we like (e.g. culture, values and CCAs)
Come and share share your thoughts on the school choices that you have for your children. -
Hi Parents
My child was born in Mar 2013. We stay in Kovan and looking at the primary schools near to/in this area like Rosyth, Xin Min, Holy Innocents, St Andrews. Glad to have this thread to share our views in preparing for Pri school registration. -
Reika88:
My thoughts: Go for Kheng Cheng. It's getting more popular than Pei Chun. And Pei Chun often has balloting for those within 1km. If you go for balloting and fail, you can only go to Guangyang.Hi everyone!

Just curious, since you live in Bishan, why don't you consider Kuo Chuan? Is it not within 1km? -
Hi, My daughter Born 2013. And we are PR. I’m staying within 1KM of St’Hilda’s. How are the chances of getting in Hilda’s for a PR in P2B?
-
Balloting for SC less than 1 km, at St Hilda primary, under Phase 2C. Hence, zero chance for PR. You may try other schools instead
For Phase 2B : whether PR got chance or not, u need to refer past years' balloting trend.
usually, for 2B : balloting arise for SC, staying beyond 2km, at St Hilda. Hence, PR zero chance.
May read Phase 2B 2017 Analysis :-
