2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

There’s no difference. The parent registering the child on the last day at the final minute has an equal opportunity to be admitted/ballot compared to the first parent registered the child on the first day at the first minute.
I guess the only difference is on the last day, you will know whether the school is balloting under which category and that may be important for your consideration depending on your risk appetite. -

Most definitely balloting. SHHK may have controlled the issuance of letters extremely finely until exactly 20 letters given out for ATS applicants (and I heard this does happen)...BUT all it takes is just one GRL to apply and it will be thrown into balloting situation. And believe me, GRL will surely be game for the fight. I don’t foresee any of them living within 1km yet backing down from this chance. CHS is also exactly 20 seats. They may waver between the 2 schools (if they have a boy), but quite high chance both schools also will ballot for 2B and 2C.
the last i heard from a SHHK fren, about 26 letters were issued this yr (2018).
even for last yr under 2b, they had balloting within 1km. unless you are staying within 1km from ATS, else it would be better to consider other schools. -
Does anyone have any idea why Angsana isn't as popular as the other schools in the same vicinity? Like Tampines Primary, Chongzheng, Yumin, etc? Their enrolment figures seems consistently low since 2015 despite the higher no. of vacancies available. :scratchhead:
Considering it as our 2Cs back-up. Appreciate any thoughts/feedback on this school. -
Is it safe for RGPS phase 2C SC < 1km? Anyone have ideas?

Just checking, what are the chances for the following schs for SC > 2km under phase 2C(S)? Thanks.
SJI
St. Andrews
Maris Stella
St. Gabriel -

SJI, St Andrew’s and Maris Stella would not have any vacancies in 2C(S). The only optiion left is likely to be St Gabriel’s.Just checking, what are the chances for the following schs for SC > 2km under phase 2C(S)? Thanks.

If you’re looking at boys school, Monfort, Junior and St Stephen’s are possible options for you if you arnt residing too far from them. -
Anyone knows why MOE takes so long (1 week) to announce the 2B electronic balloting result 26Jul (Thu), considering registration ends on 20Jul ? Or the school would know the results on following Monday 23Jul? Tqvm

The schools will show at the school how many applicants under which home-school distance at end of application period? There’s no difference. Phrase 2B:
Poi Ching (1-2km)
Gongshang (< 1km)
St Hilda’s (1-2km)
Which sch will u go for? -
gerald32:
It depends. The school should at least inform registering parents which category the school is balloting.. i.e. >2km, within 2km or <1km so parents would make the informed decision.

Maybe for the exact numbers may need to enquire at the registration counter. Perhaps other parents can fill in the details.
