Pardon me for replying here. I can't seem to PM you. I would like the books minus the skirt.

Sec 1 briefing completed and we reached home before 10am. Was ushered to park at Nanyang Girls’ Boarding House which DD will get to stay in year 3?

The new girls were seated according to their respective schools. Many schools came in large groups (>10). Tao Nan (TN) alone has around 30! Enough to form a class. 😂 Next biggest group after NYPS and TN was from Rosyth School and Pei Hwa Presbyterian.

Surprised to see many from Rgps, River Valley Pri, St Nicholas etc. Almost every primary school is represented

lee_yl, the boarding school experience (aka BSE) is in beginning of year 2. Year 3 has OBS and GCP. The global classroom experience is to China/Taiwan.

                Hi Myteapot,

Oh, the boarding school experience is at the beginning of year 2 and not year 3.

Don’t mind if I ask a silly question, are the girls allowed to bring back their dirty uniforms to wash or do they do their own washing and ironing at the boarding school?

Global classroom experience in China/Taiwan? :scratchhead: Sounds interesting. How long will it last?

                  Hello lee_yl,

No lah... there are no silly questions. The girls can do their own laundry or bring back home to wash - no hard rules. But usually have to “fight” for the washing machines / dryers in the boarding school 😂 . During the BSE, it’s not unusual to see the girls coming to class in “un-ironed” uniform or wear the same uniform for 2 days 😉 .

The global classroom program lasts 2 weeks, and the girls can opt between a few China cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Suzhou. If they are in the SAP program, it can go up to 6 weeks.

Lots of activities to train the girls up.

😂 Wa, got dryers ah, not bad. I better train my girl to iron her pleated uniform neatly.

I see. The global classroom program sounds interesting. What is SAP program? 6 weeks sound long.
