No point harping on 1st choice, not important anymore . If appeal can go through successfully, 要 谢 天 谢 地 了Serafiel:
Good news
my sister got in her 2nd choice of Crescent Girls.
:congrats: Happy for you!
And @gelfish, it does not matter what her first choice was. I really don’t understand why people harp on must get their first choice or else end of the world. It’s not. Duh. -
Two parents appeal and successfully join in big four . Just let you know

That's great news ! Very happy for these 2 parents and their P6 children, must be a JOYOUS celebrative Christmas present for them.
Which Big four appeal, went through successfully ? both two, also from NYGH ? -

It appears that different schools handle appeal cases differently. Some practice first come first serve whereas others have a more structured process. There is a deadline in submission and shortlisted candidates need to go through an interview. (sounds like DSA)
Just wondering why isn’t this whole appeal process centralized and managed by MOE. It will save the time and trouble of parents having to visit multiple schools to submit the application. -

Am another parent! I'm quite curious about the amount of people who appealed to these schools, though; probably not too little? Although I didn't see a lot of students/parents during the appeal process :scratchhead: anyway, this is a marvelous Christmas surprise for my DD! Congrats & Happy for all the other parents too, must be a great Christmas for us all! :rahrah: -

The MOE does manage a centralized process. It’s called the S1 Posting Exercise. There’s no such thing as a appeal process - you will have to accept the choices you are posted to. Once you open up a ‘formal’ appeal process, expect to see more nonsense in the ‘regular’ selection exercise.
Applicant should be more conscientious in putting down the 6 choices in the first place. If a parent / child (a very small minority) don’t like the school they are posted to, why shouldn’t they be made to go through the trouble of having to visit multiple schools to submit the application. I would actually advocate schools to consider charging an admin fee for unnecessary work and to discourage people from applying all over the island. -

Your DD successfully appealed to NYGH? Was there an interview? Do they state the reason for acceptance, say CCA? Thanks.
:congrats:
