It appears that MOE has erased all the previous data for Phase 1 since it’s now over. Looks like they intend to display only the current phase.i just took a quick look at
https://beta.moe.gov.sg/primary/p1-registration/vacancies-and-balloting/
and it is currently showing vacancies for phase 2A(1). Where can i see places taken up for Phase 1?
Irritating to the max & super user-unfriendly + parent-unfriendly, their new website. But that’s my own opinion.
So people who are monitoring/counting down, better to screenshot the relevant pages at the end of each phase. Keep your own Excel sheet of numbers for those schools you’re interested in.
Well I live with 1km of aps and that looks like my best chance. RMPS will be 2nd choice but that will be <2km. Chij kellock and river valley both are > 2km. Am SC. Looks like my best bet is still with aps. Amy advice? Kinda hard to come up with a backup plan if I fail at the aps ballot considering all the other school choices have no phase 2C supplemental vacancies historically… thoughts?

within 2C, RMPS and RVPS are poor 2nd choice, both has poorer chance or no chance. CHIJ Kellock wise, maybe safe for all SC this year, need more confirmation as need the 2B folks to fill in the numbers first. SMPS look a good choice for alternative as well in 2C.

APS ratio maybe around 1.3 applicant : 1 slot.
You are left with little choice after 2C. -
Thanks for your thoughts. Looks like there is really no backup plan. It’s all in, one shot chance at 2c for either RMPS or aps. If fail and no 2cs available Ard my area I wonder what will happen?.will be funny if Moe finds a place for my kid say in…Jurong or punggol?

Gan Eng Seng Primary will have seats at 2CS. Near enough. Slightly further away are Blangah Rise Primary & Cantonment Primary, also plenty of seats at 2CS. Don’t scare yourself about Jurong or Punggol so far.
There are sites like these https://just2me.com/sgprimary/2019/all/ tracking. Hopefully they continue to host these numbers beyond this year.

hello,
is it really not possible to know the ‘live’ number of people who have applied versus what’s available during the P stages?
Will the relevant schools know?
imagine the phase is 1 week long and half way through the week all the available slots have already been applied and taken - this number should be published immediately so parents can target another school? -

hi, the school will have the number. They have no obligation to disclose the number but try to ask nicely from the school.

The registration is only open for 1/2/3 days, depending on the registration phase, it's not a week long. MOE will update the number of applicant on their website at the end of each registration day. -
Hi parents, asking for my neighbour. We’re within 1-2km of the following schools:
CHIJ Toa Payoh
Kheng Cheng
Pei Chun
And within 1km for Hong Wen
Which school will have the best odds for Phase 2C SC? My neighbour is enrolling her girl. We were discussing Hong Wen but it is so terribly oversubscribed every single year that we don’t feel there’s a good chance even >1km, also plus the fact that it’s co-ed. As for schools outside of 2km, she’s considering:
St Margaret (the temp location is not an issue)
RGPS
No prior affiliation. Not sure how to advise her.
Edited: To fix typo.
