real time information changes all the time so its quite meaningless or worst misleading if parent doesnt get the most up to date information.[/quote]i don't understand what you saying. Real-time means most up to date. It will change to reflect the real situation. Don't worry, it will not change as fast as the stock market.
Agree. At this era of smart nation, maybe MOE should have a real-time website for applications at least to reflect the last day of each phase. Else some ill-informed parents will be stuck with zero/low chance at the most important phase 2C.Davischew\" post_id=\"1924106\" time=\"1564461425\" user_id=\"132882:

on the last day of Phase 2C registration, during that last hour or so towards 4.30 pm, RGPS have to provide statistics, because those SC staying outside > 2km under Phase 2C need to know how competitive is the balloting going to be.
In the event if really far too competitve, some parents may decide to withdraw, go to some other primary schools no need to ballot for SC under 2C, eg. to Marymount Convent -
I agree with Veyron, \"real time\" data will never really be real time. The consequence is only to make the whole process even more stressful for some parents who spent 24-7 watching the numbers. There's beauty in incomplete information, chaos and uncertainties - that's the beauty of life :imcool:

For someone who is concerned about balloting, all the information prior to the last day of registration will be meaningless. Which mean all afford put into updating information on real time basis will be fruitless and not result in any positive outcome.

Then again, if real time tracking is crucial during the days leading up to closing, then this will only lead to another set of problem because parents who needs to work and have no time to track the result will be at disadvantage. -

IMO, this is the life changing phase of your life(or your child). So take 1 day leave (out of 14 days/6 days CCL) to monitor, is that too much?

I apologised. Sorry I was too harsh. I will delete the post.
But you were being personal in telling me what to do with my child. I was just stating my opinion on whether we should or should not have real time data. I feel offended, since no one should be telling another parent what to do with their child. -

I have 2 girls from RGPS, one graduated in 2017, and younger one in P3 currently. I would say the school has reduced the stress level & workload over the last few years. In fact, no longer offer HMT since P1 by default. The girls on the whole are self-motivated, and many of them strive to achieve good performance (not just academic but in CCA etc). I let my girls do what they like with minimum supervision. I only want them to develop good learning habits, be responsible and enjoy their school life.
Thank you for replying, I appreciate that very much.
