HI,

Any P1 boy students in Canossa Catholic Primary in 2019?
Can share more information on this school?
And Geylang Methodist as well for recent 1-2 years students?
Heard GMS is not a good choice now?
Kindly advise if any
Thanks.
Does anyone know about waiting list?
To be able to filled up in waiting list, do we need to register at school A ?
Let say if we never register at school A and i register at school B at phase 2C (any phase)
But after all the registration period finished, we can go to school A and fill up as waiting list.

Anyone got this kind of experience?

U can wait list in as many schools as you want and its not in order of who came first. Admission is at the discretion of the school.

Let's say At particular school,
parent A out from balloting in 2C.
parent B withdraw in 2C and registered at other school.
At the end of registration period, parent A and B managed to get a place in other school.
But parent B fill up in waiting list in the first previously withdraw school.
parent A never return back to first school.

If got one vacancy at first school, school will call to who?
What are chances between A and B.
School say they will put Q number for those all unsuccessful applicants.
still confuse
From my experience the school will call nobody, you need to keep calling them.

The truth is anyone can be in waiting list but whom to pick is school’s sole discretion which is not transparent. Student with priority has to be in certain relationship to school, shows sort of talent..etc.

Most importantly, there must be vacancies from students transfer out (handful or less) or expansion of classes (see your luck)

Who the school picks, is still at the discretion of the school. On your part, you can keep calling the school and the place can still go to someone else.

just checked with Poi Ching, balloting required below 1km, even with 115 seats. (

Do they mention how many applicants? Yesterday noon I called them, they said 134 applicants (SC, within 1km). The MOE website updated in the evening with 145 applicants. Wondering if all these 145 consist any SC beyond 1km.

1. believe what the school told you.
2. MOE website included anyone who applied. it can be SC or PR > 2km away. Physically, school can advise someone with no chance not to register, there are some parents who did it online but never monitor. It also include those who hasnt withdrawn yet. I also dont think school is obliged to inform anyone to withdraw when its zero chance but some are kind enough to inform.

Unless the 11 additional pax has breached your risk threshold, i think you should assume all within 1km and if you can take the risk. More over, there should a few more brave hearts joining in today.

Yes, I just went down to register, was told the same thing (less than 1km requires balloting). Actually my first choice is always St Hilda’s, and since now both St Hilda’s & Poi Ching needs to ballot, I want to try my luck at St Hilda’s instead. (But my Wife, my parents, my relatives all support to go PoiChing over St Hilda’s). But it was my Daughter, that make me finally make up my mind at PoiChing b’cos for the past few days, I asked her: PoiChing or St Hilda’s, and she always replied me PoiChing. She doesn’t know which school is better, but she knows most of her current kindergarten classmates also applied at Poi Ching...

Once the Tampines North projects come online, it will get even more difficult to enrol in Poi Ching.

Hi,
We are SC >2km from Marymount Convent, using it as our backup option. Based on data, it’s ok between 2014 - 2017, does anyone have last year’s data pls? Any kind advice about the school being a backup option in 2CS appreciated too! Thanks!

last year, left 11 after 2C. then in 2Cs 27 go for 11 spots. balloting is for >2km.

Thanks all for the advice!
