Understand that feeling but dun be disappointed. Becoz that affects the child adversely.

Rather, recover quickly n say to the child, “This can be a blessing in disguise. “Explain to your child the effect of “a Big Fish In A Big Pond”.
The truth is I have seen numerous stories of students not getting to the desired school but did much better in the next-best or least desired school.
A friend’s son appealed a first choice school without success and their family were disappointed. But four years down the road, he is constantly boosted by being better than his peers and became a prefect, turned out to be quite a fine young man. While another friend with a son of the same age regretted his son getting into a TOP school, “ His self-esteem is really low bcoz no matter how much he tries n how good his grades can get, he feel beneath his brainy peers.”

If the letter states eligibility for ESIS, ie meet the cut off of 261, does it means that you definitely get it or still depends on the secondary school tscore ranking?
hi all,
can I check how many points adder if higher chinese has a distinction?

+3 if you apply to a SAP school.

And check the eligibility letter if you actually do get the 3 points. In theory, a person can get a distinction in higher chinese but do not get the +3 if his t score is not within a certain percentage of the cohort.
where can I find if dd is eligible to get the points for higher Chinese? Not able to find from the result letter. Thanks.

If letter says eligible for ESIS and you are applying to an independent secondary school, then confirm get.

Sorry to be posting a stupid question. I am confused about how S1 Posting works.

Assuming Child A puts School ABC as 4th choice.

Child B puts School ABC as 1st choice.

Child A TSCORE is higher than Child B.

Will Child A be allocated a vacancy in school ABC first or child B?

              Thanks

Assuming Child A can’t get into any of his first 3 choice, he will be considered BEFORE Child B for School ABC.

Higher scorer will always get to pick first.

Thanks zac_mum and floppy for your clarification.
