What zac mum said is true, provided the Secondary school is a Non affliated schoolsantorini\" post_id=\"1947609\" time=\"1574331821\" user_id=\"12287:Merit before choice order.
So the higher scorer will get in first, regardless of his/her choice order.
But for Affliated school, starting from this year onwards, 20 % must be allocated, reserved for outsiders.
So, those affliation schools with low Affliation Cut off point at 200 -
This year, it is possible that some students with Tscore 200, may not be able to go back to your affliated O level Sec school, even if you put your affliation Sec school down, as 1st choice. They will have to give way, to outsiders (non affliates) coming in with higher Tscore, than them
But for Sec schools with higher Affliation cut off, e.g. st nick at 230, the behavior is slightly different
Maybe out of 80 % reserved for Affliates,
only 65 % is actually being utilized, because some with higher Tscore, esp. Those from the Top few 2019 P6 classes eg. Those scored above 260, will exit out into (RGS / NYGH / St Nick / MGS) IP (A-level or IB) programme, ie. exit out of the OP programme, totally.
So, (80 - 65) = 15 % extra remaining un-utilized balance will then be added back to the \"cannot-touch\" 20% reserved for outsiders, to join OP (St Nick). There are Total 5 OP classes, plus another 5 IP classes inside St Nick, making it Total 10 classes -

I think, this will never happen, because the affiliated students get in first, up to 80% of the total sec 1 cohort. Then the leftover 20% is allocated to non affiliated students. If affiliation students fill 65%, then the 35% will be allocated to non affiliated students. It is done serially, not in parallel. I think.
Agreed. Won’t have a scenario of affiliated and non-affiliated fighting for the same last slot.
Gets more complicated when it comes to affiliation.. what if affiliated student just meet cop puts 1st choice, and non affiliated student also just meet cop puts 2nd, who will get the slot? Affiliated cop is always lower than non affiliated but both fighting for the last slotmengsan\" post_id=\"1947648\" time=\"1574341061\" user_id=\"31254:

Merit before choice order.
So the higher scorer will get in first, regardless of his/her choice order. -

:thankyou:
Malay / Arabic is open to all students who have gained admission to Express and NA. Unless your child has a keen interest in the Asian language, I won’t encourage or be bothered with it.MS_Worrisome\" post_id=\"1947553\" time=\"1574318758\" user_id=\"27601:
Quick question for Parents of 2019 PSLE Warriors: If your child is eligible for 3rd language (Malay/Arabic), would you encourage him/her to take?

Is stated in the eligibility letter, S1 Posting letter.
Thanks sumoye. I found it on the eligibility letter the first paragraph regarding the SAP
where can I find if dd is eligible to get the points for higher Chinese? Not able to find from the result letter. Thanks.Stevenlsf\" post_id=\"1947628\" time=\"1574334823\" user_id=\"69371:

And check the eligibility letter if you actually do get the 3 points. In theory, a person can get a distinction in higher chinese but do not get the +3 if his t score is not within a certain percentage of the cohort. -
Hi. Can I check if in the case of affiliation but uncertainty of IP, will student lose affiliation status.
Student 255
1st choice affiliation school ip
2nd choice affiliation school o level
Turns out cop for ip is 256. Will student be pushed to 3rd n 4th choice n lose affiliation status? -

\"Is it a lot ?\",
Did a lot of ppl get 250 and above in ur school? In my school there’s 27... is that considered a lot or no?
will depend on the Total number of P6 classes in your school, or the Total number of P6 students who took PSLE this year (call this figure, X), then take
27 divide by denominator (X) times 100, that will give you the percentage, which will then indicate, is it \"a lot, or No\" -

For this case,

the student will not be posted to 1st choice (IP), because Her Tscore (255) is lower than school's IP COP (256)
But, student will still be posted to her
2nd choice (OP) school, if her Tscore (255), is higher or equal to her Affliation COP (eg. 230) -
My girl cried when walked up to me with her results. A second before she burst out I thought she was playing a fool as she was hardly serious about result. So heartbroken. This scene keeps etching in my mind. Think school prelim gave her confidence but didn’t expect psle to be worse. My two kids both did better in school than psle, that made me wonder why. Even their consistent A subject becomes B.
