In St Nick, HCL is compulsory for All IP students.

For OP (St Nick) students, if receive MOE HCL Eligibility letter, can start HCL from Sec 1

Actually, SNGS' 253 includes HCL bonus right?
SCGS' 252 for IP is raw - no HCL bonus points.
If this is so, then those with 250+3, 251+2, can't get into SCGS IP.

But if you really ask them, many of them didnt take HCL in pri school.
Same for the IP students, many of them didnt take HCL in pri school.

I do think, the pool of students who chose SN O over SC IP chose it for the school.
These 2 schools have a different “target market”. They have different “unofficial feeder schools”.
I am sure there is a group who will put SN and no SC in their list, and there is a different group who cannot imagine themselves in any other sch except SC.

The same reason why a 26x (no HCL) is going to SC O or SN O and not RG? It is just personal preference.

My impression is majority of kids who scored 250 and above did HCL in pri school. Both my kids are in IP streams and they are in the small minority in their classes who did not take HCL in pri school.

Agree that they are different schools which appeal to different girls (and families).

Try dropping her off along ave 2 where the track is. Then you dont need to join the queue.

Correct - HCL is optional for SCGS IP in these recent years.
What surprised me is that SCGS has the Bicultural Studies Programme, which I thought was usually only offered by SAP schools.

There’s no fixed rules on who can offer BSP. Any schools with the capability and means can offer BSP (which mean not many schools can )

As EJC is one centre that offers the BSP scholarship, I think SCGS has to offer it. Otherwise, their students would lugi compared to those from SNGS and CHS.
