Thank you. Will try your suggestions. Best of luck for your son as well!
Hi working_mum, my ds is also more mischievous than usual. It’s the same for some of his classmates, esp the boys. You could be right that it’s their way of coping with stress.Haro\" post_id=\"1996370\" time=\"1601074997\" user_id=\"186154:
Hi, posting for the first time. My son is so playful and distracted and is driving me up the wall and he is being extra playful now more than ever. I am not sure if it is his way of coping with the stress but he is driving me nuts and I end up yelling at him. Academically he is struggling in languages (Eng and MT) but is doing quite well in Math and Science. Whenever I try to get him to practice compo, he tries all tricks and procastinates to get out of it. With just a week to go for PSLE, I am worried about his lack of seriousness. Looking for any advice on how to handle this and if any of you are facing similar situation. TIA
Perhaps for eng/chi, you could try breaking down his revision into bite sizes, so he won’t feel overwhelmed? Instead of doing the whole compo at one go, try to get him to say the plot to you or just do the planning or write only a paragraph for intro/ending.
Thankfully we still have the t-score this year, so continue to encourage him to shine in his stronger subjects.
All the best to your DS! -

Thanks zav_zay. Seems to be different from the usual positive themes.
