Thanks! Commuting to EJC is going to be a challenge for us as we live quite far.
Speaking of which, any EJC parent can share if there are any differences between SNGS, CHS and SCGS IP kids when they enter EJC? SCGS seems the odd one out as it is not a brother/sister school of the other two. I wonder if the three schools have similar curriculums, but I doubt so - Literature is compulsory as a full subject for SCGS IP students.
I dont know where you live but the circle line connects to the downtown line at Botanic Gardens & MacPherson and the east west line at Buona Vista & Paya Lebar, so it cannot be that far, I guess? Clementi to Bishan is 8 stops, Clementi to Stevens is 6 stops.

If I am not mistaken, the 3 schools take the same final exams, for some subjects. So the subject content and scope for the common papers, cannot be very different. But I dont know for sure, you can prob ask the seniors. From what I can see, sec 3 2020 in sc uses The Joy Luck Club, whereas sec 3 2020 in sn uses both The Joy Luck Club and Macbeth. Maybe because E Lit is compulsory in SC so there is fewer books, as compared to SN where E Lit is by choice? I dont know. So E Lit is prob not the common paper.

        ...
Geographically speaking, Bishan is right smack in the middle of Singapore.

Yes, but EJC is not within comfortable walking distance from an MRT station. Looks to be at least 1km walk to Bright Hill.

We're not complaining about the location - went into the IP route with full knowledge of having to progress to EJC. Just wondering how best to sort out the commute issue. Still some way to go lol ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, the last mile has to be done via bus, or on bike (a PMD is somewhat doable). However, given that there's an option of 3 MRT lines nearby (NSL, TEL and CCL) to choose from, it's not that much of a hassle to get to EJC. There are at least 2 buses that will connect you from the station to EJC.

410W that plies Sin Ming Ave has a relatively high frequency serving Bishan and Bright Hill Station.
From Marymount Station, 74 and 851 are relatively high frequency routes during peak period as well.

7min walk from Bright Hill when it opens.
From Bishan, the students usually cross the overhead bridge to catch 1 of the buses stated.
Sch starts at 8am or 9am on different days of the week, if it helps.
