The SJI IB will be a good enough safety net for your case. I'll be super surprised if SJI IB COP rises beyond 260.
Hi
My son scored 261, and we were struggling between RI (cos it’s nearer to our house) and ACS(I) IB (cos his form teacher commented my son is more suited to IB).
ACS(I) is really quite far from where we stay (we stay near Potong Pasir) but i think we have more or less settled on placing that as our first choice.
I don’t really know what to put for his 2nd - 6th option though. I read some comments which mentioned that the COP can fluctuate up to 8 points (!!) so i think we shouldn’t take getting into ACS (I) for granted. Right now, my thoughts are:
1) ACS (I) IB
2) ACS o level (cos can try to get into IB at year 3, if COP drastically changes this year)
3) SJI IB
4) - 6) ????
We prefer boys’ schools..thanks in advance for any advice given! -

Will putting crescents girls as 5th or 6th choice hinder her chance of getting in to the Sch?
Unless there are reasons such as school culture etc that make a difference to the choice order, would you consider putting them by order of 2020 COP (highest to lowest) instead?Serendipity\" post_id=\"2004340\" time=\"1606361964\" user_id=\"9658:
My daughter gotten 248 +2
Thinking to put
1. Scgs o lvl
2. Rvhs
3. Cedar girls o lvl
4. Crescents girls
As top 4 choice. Is it safe to say my daughter can at least get in to crescents girls as her 4th choice?
Crescent Girls seems like a fairly safe safety net but do use your 5th and 6th choices wisely too.
My friends advice me to put crescents as 1st choice to be safe.
The order of your choice does NOT affect the chances of getting in becos it's still the T-score system. Crescent will take your DD in at her 6th choice instead of someone else who puts as 1st choice so long as your DD's T-score is higher. -

Order of choices doesn't matter. If same T-Score, then Citizen first; if all Citizens, draw lots.
It does not matter. The child with a higher T-Score (to multiple decimal places) will get his place first.zav_zay\" post_id=\"2004344\" time=\"1606362626\" user_id=\"103461:
Can I check does the school choice matters? For example, if I put xx sch as 5th choice but the other student put the same sch as 2nd choice but both these students got the same score, will the student who put the sch as 2nd choice get admitted first? Whereas the student who put as 5th choice will depends on whether there is still vacancy when it come to his turn.
All the best!
I heard there is no decimal place of the T-Score, T-Score is the round off integer without decimal place. -

Not a high chance, to be honest. But if u dun try, u never know. The 2nd to 6th options are there anyway if your \"dream\" 1st choice doesn't succeed.
Hi I’m new here. My DS has a score of 254 with no HMT. We would like to put our school choices as follows :
Acsi(IB)
NJC
Acsi (O level)
SJI (IB)

Nan Hua
Can advise if we have a chance for first choice? -

Last year COP are shown above. If your ranking is as above , if for some freak reason you cannot get into PLM, you will not get selected by rest of the your choices because their COP based on last year results are higher than PLM. This will be a very bad situation.
My gal scored 247+2 for hmt. We stay in Hougang. Her list is as below:
1. Cedar O level 249
2. Paya Lebar Methodist 237
3. Anderson Sec 245
4. Nan Chiau 244
5.CHIJ Toa Payoh 246
6. CCHS (Main) 244
Any comment or suggestion?
If PLM is really your top 2md choice, suggest for 3-6, select schools that has lower COP than PLM, then they can be a real fall back should you cannot get into PLM. -

You mean put CHIJ St Nics, MGS IB and DHS before slotting NJC in as 5th choice. You might want to think deeper about all-girls versus co-ed (no right or wrong, just personal preference).
So my daughter got 259+2 and these are her choices
1. NYGH (2019 cop-261)
2. NJC (2019 cop-254)
3. RVHS (2019 cop-253)
4. SCGS (2019 cop-252)
5. NHHS (2019 cop-246)
6. BPGHS (2019 cop-244)
I told her the difference between nanyang and NJC was quite big and she should choose a school in between so any recommendations?
It's really a \"good\" problem to have, and i think any of these schools should provide a great education. -

Any idea what is the ESIS cut off?
-

Seems like CHIJ Toa Payoh and Anderson should be more convenient for you than Nan Hua?
Hello, I'm quite new to this platform but would really appreciate all the advice given. My daughter scored 251+3 for hmt and not so sure about the schools she wants to go. We are staying in the north.
1) Rvhs
2) St.nicks O level
3)Cedar girls O level
4)Nan hua high
Not really sure about the last couple choices but would really appreciate any help as I dont really know about sec schools in singapore. -

Not everybody is suited to do IB. If your teacher recommends him to do IB, i would say \"go for it\". :congrats:
