Hi,
I would like to ask experienced parents here for 253+2, what should the last 2 safe options be? Or shld you go lower?
Eg 1) SCGS (252,252)
2) St Nick (257,255)
3) Dunman High (255,256)
4) Cedar (253,253)
5) SCGS O level (252,252)
6) Cedar O level (249,250)
Should you go even lower than Cedar O level, given the cutoff for top 3% and 10% has increased? Appreciate your comments.
Thanks -

I think the MGS IP is separate from SBA. I don't know the size of the MGS IP. However, I think some of the other split IP/O schools (SNGS, SCGS) are 4 - 6 IP classes.
RGS should be the cohort size while MGS I think is only 2 classesemoh\" post_id=\"2005173\" time=\"1606524817\" user_id=\"10618:

Based on 2019 intake, there should be at least 3 IB classes & at least 2 SBA classes. There are X number of remaining classes (O-level at 4th year.) -

The latest info tat KSP forum ppl provided on foreign 3rd language qualifying score shows that it has gone up from 250 (last year) to 252 (this year). That score is effectively for top 10% of the cohort. That's why I expect the COP of above-average schools to increase.[/quote]Does that mean, COP for most of the secondary schools might increase by few points? I am aiming for SJI O-level and my DS score is just good enough to get in as a Non-affiliate student (based on last year's COP). Now a bit worried.
thank you !! but may i know why rgs cop likely to increase?xiaomingiconic\" post_id=\"2005124\" time=\"1606492440\" user_id=\"188698:

RGS COP likely to increase from last year's 261, but no one knows is it 262 or 263 or more. But no harm for her to try. Her 2nd choice of NYGH has a much higher chance than RGS, because of her higher chinese bonus of 3 points. Her 3rd and 4th choice (MGS, St Nics, DHS, NJC, etc) should easily provide a good safety net anyway. -
:thankyou:

You have 2 good safety choices (5th and 6th), so you probably can afford to be daring and put whatever you want in the first 2 choices. (my personal guess is COP will increase this year)Cypress_tree\" post_id=\"2005115\" time=\"1606491295\" user_id=\"119522:
Hi all, DS is 251+2 and we’re living in the east. Could anyone please kindly give some comments on these choices?
1) Dunman High
2) Victoria IP
3) Victoria O
4) Temasek JC
5) Chung Cheng High
6) Anglican High
Would it be totally pointless to put DHS at all? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you! -

Then, can use the 1st n 2nd choices on “dream” schools. For 3rd-5th choices, use them on schools with COP a few points below your score.

There is a 4-point gap between your daughter's score and the lowest COP in the list. It may be OK, but freak movements do happen. It would be safer to have at least 1 choice that is significantly lower - maybe 6-10 points lower than your daughter's score.

Any one who joined the Q&A / webminar sessions for RGS last week? Manage to share the links if it is still available?

I really hope that cut off are not moving up this year…
