Out of curiosity, does anyone know of any student from this cohort who has scored 280 or more including HCL? What is his/her score?
Two students score 282 without HML from reliable resources, A* for all four subjects, not to disclose the school and student names.

So few high scorers this year I am inclined to think that those scoring 280 and above, without HMT is only a handful.

Are the children allowed to do 3 sciences with 2 humanities? Including 2 math and 2 languages, 9 in total? What’s the popular subject combination for IP now?
HCI allows student to take 2 sciences (Phy and Chem), 2 humanities, 2 maths and 2 languages, plus Additional subject of either Bio or Computing, total 9 subjects, provided his Sec 2 result is good.

10th subject needs special approval.

Since HCI COP for last year was fairly low compared to the year before, I am only guessing that the COP may go up as a result of increased demand this year but again I could be wrong as the actual COP is also a result of demand and supply.

I wonder if ‘top’ schools took in fewer DSAs this year / made fewer DSA offers, given that there were no National School Games, and no sports trials (and possibly other trials too) for non-Academic DSA domains.

Hi we live in Hougang, son got 230. Need advice on sch choices:
1) Holy Innocents (233)
2) xinmin (235)
3) Bowen (226)
4) Edgefield (229)
5) presbytarian high (235)
6) ??

Are these ok, what other options should we look at?

Did u get the correct COP? Anyway u can consider:

Presbyterian High School (co-ed) – 236
Xinmin Secondary School (co-ed) – 234
Holy Innocents’ High School (co-ed) – 232
Edgefield Secondary School (co-ed) – 230
Ang Mo Kio Secondary School (co-ed) – 229
Bowen Secondary School (co-ed) – 226
Pei Hwa Secondary School (co-ed) – 226
St. Gabriel’s Secondary School (boys) – 225

Thank you so much!! Very grateful. You are right, I looked at 2019 COP instead. Thanks heaps

I think it’s easier to list the autonomous schools that don’t offer triple science. There are 28 autonomous schools, I suspect at least 20 of them offer triple science.

I think this triple science thing is targeting an older group of market audience or those who ya-ya about being able to study triple science. Frankly, triple science has limited advantages (and losing a humanity subject is a huge disadvantage) these days.
Not true, just sharing why some choose triple science .
my girl chosen triple science at the end of year 2 -IP ( I disagree though as I worry she could be too bogged down with hw) however the school allowed the students to drop 1 science at end of year 3 if u can’t cope but she managed to year 4 and yes, she studied very hard and not only on sciences but all subjects .her reason of taking tripe science was becos she don’t know which faculty she going to pursue in Uni even till today though she is going JC next yr. She chooses Bio n chem for JC though .

My conclusion is , if your child chooses it and can manage , let your child decides.

Hihi, trouble you to shed some light on this. Why is taking an additional humanity subject better than taking another science subject? I belong to the older group where triple science is looked up upon by peers as the smarties. Thank you very much.

Ultimately, it is the L1R5 that is getting you into JC, and determining which JC you can get into.
It is compulsory to include a Humanities subject in the R5, whereas it isn't the case for any Science.
However, some JCs to specify that to read a Science subject at A Levels (H2), you will need to fulfil certain prerequites, for example, having a B3 at the O levels.

Thanks for the past years stats!

Btw, 2020 refers to graduating class this year right?

U r most welcome.

If we know the highest t score in most schools we may have an even clearer picture on how the 2020 cohort has fared as compared to previous years.

Yes, 2020 refers to t score achieved in 2020.
To understand how the 2020 PSLE cohort performed and therefore have a better perspective of how the COP of different secondary schools are likely to move (ie. increase or decrease), can parents of this year's cohort please help to post the highest T-score (to their best knowledge) in their child's respective primary school by clicking on the below link?

Many thanks in advance!
