IMHO, your DS chance is very high. :rahrah:

Hi, what's HCI S1/S2 school bag load like? Wondering what capacity to get for DS as current is pretty worn. TIA😊

Hello, anyone can shed a light on the morning traffic during schooldays? I have searched for info but came up with only 2011/2016.
How bad is the traffic before/after covid in the morning along the high school side?
Any info is much appreciated as I have to travel from North side
            Thank you

If you reach bukit timah road before 7am, it shouldn't be a problem.

Take into consideration there are schools like mgs, raffles primary, njc, nanyang girls using both bukit timah road and Dunearn road at about the same time.

If you come from North, I assume is via pie taking either Adam road or eng neo.

Adam road turning into bukit timah road can get pretty jammed up along the short stretch of road just before coronation plaza (nanyang primary is there), after that jam also due to petrol station/tan kah kee met station. So best to filter to middle lane then move back to left lane after tan kah kee station in order to enter hci via gate 3 or 4 (you can find the site map online to see where gates 3 & 4 are located).

If going by eng neo, turn into sixth avenue follow by a left turn into one of the namly avenues (pls Google it on map cos too many namly road names so I can't remember) & will lead you to gate 4.

Hi, to avoid the jam that stretch, what i did was to turn left to Khem Hock road (before the PIE exit) when coming from Lornie / Adam road, and drive all the way then turn right to bukit timah road at the traffic light.

                #1. For Lower Secondary Science,

                a) In Sec 1, are they taking "one Science" class and the topics are either Chem or Physics related depending on the week/term? Or, is it more like taking two different science classes?

                b) In Sec 2, is Bio added? Earlier posts (quite a while ago) indicated it was, but I saw the Sec 2 booklist is still just Chem and Physics. I.e. if Bio is not added in Sec 2 and students do not opt for Bio in Sec 3-4, they will not take Bio at all (seems OK as most university requirements can be met with Physics or Chem).

                Thanks

In lower Sec, all students attend Science class. They cover Phy, Chem and Bio topics in both lower Sec years.

OK, I see. Is it fair to say that the Sec 1s have 6 examinable subjects?

                    English (includes Lit)
                    HCL
                    Math
                    Science
Geo or History (believe you get a different grade for each of these but only one is going on at a time)
                    Info Comm

Third Language or AEP would add a 7th.

Is this structure the same in Sec 2? And then Sec 3 will be minimum of 8 examinable subjects with 9-10 possible depending on specific programmes or electives like Bio, Computing, 3rd Language, AEP, etc (10th subject requiring approval)?

Depending on what you mean by examinable. In terms of what is counted into MSG,, yess what you wrote is correct, except that it is missing Project Work, which may or may not be included (depending on the policy that year). All the info will be made known during the MTP session.

The boys will learn to manage on their own.
