The school will also set up WA groups - one for the whole Sec 1 level and one for the class. These are moderated by a member of the PSG.

Asencio rarely answers the phone. I ordered in mid-November and heard nothing from them until the beginning of December when they emailed asking when I wanted to collect the books.

Both. Though note that for the dsa test (first round) it was a math test for 2020

Both (Maths & Science), have to be strong.
Hi, may i ask does SST DSA require student to be strong in BOTH Science and Math or either one subject? Thanks!
For 2019 DSA batch (born 2007), pre-covid year,
for Round 1 test -
more than 200 P6 students from so many assorted primary schools were given a briefing for the test seated inside the Auditorium on level 2 first, by a Teacher-in-charge standing on the stage, before students dispersed, went down in different assigned grouping number to the ground floor, seated inside the big, big hall ready for assessment test, with a number of \"Seniors\" (Sec 2 to Sec 4 students) on duty helping out their Teachers that day inside the big hall, during invigilation.
The content of Round 1 Test paper itself, covered (tested) both (Maths & Science) domain. Not just test Science one subject only, by merely looking at the title (or name) of this Secondary (Independent) school indicated.
Those who did well overall got selected, invited (proceed) to take Round 2 test another day.

Question
By the way,
can SST students possibly study in this school, by merely being strong in Science one single subject, but weak in Mathematics ?
Impossible !
Why ?
because
(Maths & Science), these two, are often very CLOSELY related to each other !
How, related ?
Example
1)
When you study this Secondary school subject called Pure \"Physics\",
if you as a student are strong in Mathematics, it is indeed an advantage because it helps a lot, as you tend to find Physics a breeze.
Why ?
There are lots of Mathematics calculations, inside Upper Sec (3 & 4) O-level Physics topics !
As such, ( Maths & Physics ), these two are good pals (buddies), tend to go everywhere together, hand-in-hand.
Moreover, SST being such a male-dominated students school environment, although there are also girls present studying here, but the ratio of girls here not that high, it is common to find that the boys in this school tend to choose subject \"Physics\" in their end-of-year-Sec 2 exam, to start their new Sec 3 subject combination.
2)
the other compulsory Science subject, called Pure \" Chemistry \", also encountered a number of Mathematics calculations, in Sec (2, 3 and 4) MOE syllabus, onwards. Particularly in certain challenging Chemistry topics identified, which most O-level students tend to grapple with, encountered issue with such topics.
Btw, in this school (SST), all the Science subjects choice combination are either \"Pure\" or \"Applied\" Sciences. There is No \"Combined\" Science, offered here -
SST is still an O level school.
Meaning the student will still be required to sit for O level at the end of Year 4
